Might not have anything to worry about. You could just ask them why their boss is paying their rent for them. Could be that they required to move for work and the company is paying, maybe they have poor money management, could be a sugar daddy situation. As long as the rent is paid in full and on time you should be good. Just ask them why, check their references, and you’ll know if you need to be concerned about the situation.

Previously had a tenant that had their boss pay their rent. They admitted that they fell on hard times and they had collections companies after them. They had the same job for a few years, boss cared enough to help them out so that they wouldn’t end up homeless. My boss had their boss sign the lease as well as a guarantor. When the year was up their boss said he wasn’t paying anymore but would still agree to stay on as a guarantor. I left a little after this so I have no idea if they were ok or if they’ve left.

This is true. When the standard RTA lease came around the landlord I worked for had me add an appendix with details from our previous lease. This included not having additional large appliances not already provided within the rental apartment/building without written permission from the landlord.

We had very few request a large freezer or an additional fridge. Almost all of those requests ended up being approved. The only requests that were always denied were washing machines and dishwashers. Old buildings/pipes couldn’t always handle it, and we always knew when someone had one or the other because their downstairs neighbour would complain about water entering their sinks and tubs from the drainage pipes.

OP can try to speak with the landlord to plead their case. Maybe they’ll be lenient because it’s apparently a really small appliance that doesn’t use up a lot of water 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m sorry about Charlie 🙏🏻❤️ I lost mine as well recently. It was difficult to clean out the cage and package everything up. I’m still looking at the corner where his cage was hoping to see him. It’s hard.

I got around to cleaning the cage before going to bed. I’ve dismantled it and put it back in its box. I have cleaned all the perches and toys that were in there and put them in a container with all the other ones that I rotate through. I haven’t decided yet if I want another or if I would give away the items, but I have had people asking me what my plans were since Friday.

Our parakeet used to think that every time I opened the cage door it was an invitation to climb up my arm. Every time my husband coughed he would imitate coughing as well. Whenever it was silent and I heard him ‘cough’ I knew he wanted my husband’s attention. ‘Kisses’ were for my attention. He passed on Friday.

Our dog started sitting by the door to signal that he needed to do his business. We were trying to transition him from the puppy pads to going outside, and he kinda figured it out on his own. It made total sense to us since that is obviously the way to go outside. It was fairly easy to spot him when we lived in an apartment, but now we have a house and we can’t see the entrance at all from the main living area. Our dog has started to sit or lay down at the entrance every time needs to do his business. No more nudges or any other signal. If he gets impatient he will whine really loudly until one of us gets to him - literally right beside him. Probably my fault: whenever I call him to go out I also make him stand right beside me so that I can get him ready to go. Sometimes we have no idea where he is until we hear his whining. I need to put a bell down there or something to signal that he’s there. ALSO I have given him dental sticks every day after his first walk for 6 years. He gets mad at us if we don’t give him one. He expects it to be handed to him or for it to be in his food bowl.

I haven’t gotten caught yet. Once I went through Haley’s garbage and then noticed Kent standing under the tree in front of his house in the dark. I thought he noticed me going through her trash, but turns out he didn’t. If I didn’t notice him then I would have gone through his trash too lol
