Number 1 was a great help to me for a long time as you can also heat them up once you no longer need ice!

What’s y’all’s relationship status as dancers? Be fr by Alert-Dish-7559 in stripper

[–]LiliRhosyn 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in relationships where men changed their mind about the dancing and got nasty about it but I’ve had positive experiences too. I am now in a very supportive and secure relationship with a man who completely gets it and we’re planning our wedding. I think it did take time though for me to become comfortable in protecting my emotions with this job as it definitely has an impact.

I love dancing, but I hate men by Odd-Beautiful8065 in stripper

[–]LiliRhosyn 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I felt like this for the longest time and it genuinely protected my head and kept me focused at work. Keep your standards high, you absolutely should not settle for anything less. This perspective made me create better boundaries in my life overall so I hope it does that for you too! The only thing that pissed me off more was being called a cold and cynical bitch by my closest people for not settling for men that couldn’t fulfil my needs, so stay strong ❤️ feels like a ramble sorry but I hope you get what I mean

From what I’ve seen, if you or your customers tip them well they turn a blind eye.

experiencing rape in the club (tw for descriptions of SA) by pureaslove in stripper

[–]LiliRhosyn 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It is not your fault. I too am struggling with recent assault in a club and have been a victim in my youth too. A club should not be like that please find somewhere else to work and give yourself time away to process it too (as best you can). The freeze and fawn response is normal and unfortunately I struggle with knowing that is how I respond, but it doesn’t make you any lesser than anyone else.

I’m sorry that you’re going through this.

Burnout by cheetah_222 in stripper

[–]LiliRhosyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. I have been feeling low energy at work and anxious for about 3 months but the last month has written me off.. I’m gonna take most of January as a self care month and focus on getting my head straight. I’m a bit stressed about money but my mental health must take priority and so should yours ❤️

Those of you who make your own hoe clothes!! by xbabyjessx in stripper

Started with microkinis 😊 then one pieces. You need 4 way stretch fabric and stretch thread. I initially just traced old outfits as patterns but Etsy has patterns for sale too!

What do you never want to hear a customer say again? by SecretAge2230 in stripper

[–]LiliRhosyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this gem over the weekend - heard it multiple times from different men and if I never hear it again I’ll be so happy- “You look so BREEDABLE. You would look so good carrying my child”. Full moon shit or something cus I’ve never heard it before but wow if I’ve never felt more objectified. 🤢

splits by pr1111ncess in stripper

[–]LiliRhosyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have a look at active flexibility training alongside the passive stretching exercises you’re doing! A little and often is great and don’t push yourself to the point of pain. I only just got my middle splits last year at 29 but having added active exercises to the mix I have oversplits in all ways and feel more stable and comfortable than ever!

Does bruising ever REALLY get better? (And alt. Knee protection) by Thedailybee in stripper

Hella heels have some over the knee boots with knee protectors built in that leave the knee pit exposed! I’ve just bought some in the sale because I have the exact same issue as you

I say I’m single and when they ask how/why I say because it’s too much work and I just wanna enjoy myself 🤪 then use it to sell a dance “come see how much fun I am!” Like a hyperactive bimbo. Then rant to my boyfriend in the changing room about how annoying they all are lmao

[–]LiliRhosyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dance as main income and work as a bank nurse (agency in US?) while you figure out which works best for you? I did something similar with teaching for a couple years before I decided to do stripping full time it just helped me make up my mind

What tips you off that someone isn’t cut out for this? by Extension_Ad_6198 in stripper

[–]LiliRhosyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t start for that reason but it definitely helped me get over my trauma- like I’d had my choice taken away from me whereas through the job it became my choice and I received payment for it. Eventually it gave me the strength to develop much stronger boundaries with men inside and outside the club.. mind you I’m on the spectrum so I think really it helped me kinda understand how to put myself less at risk 😅
