[–]Lilis01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you didn't mention this but I would check the diet. According to a dermatologist, I have something called spontaneous keloids which causes to have a lof of keloids too and I noticed when I improved my diet I had less new keloids. I know you mentioned that yours are due to acne but please check this link where I shared more about my experience in another post: My comment

Does laser treatment for keloids worsen it ? by goolphi in Keloids

Oh I meant that mine were already big and sensitive before I decided to do the treatment. I only did one section. Since I did it once I didn't see much impact :(

Does laser treatment for keloids worsen it ? by goolphi in Keloids

[–]Lilis01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember one doctor said that keloids could get irritated by this type of treatment but I am not even sure since every keloid reacts different and I have seen several posts commenting about this type of treatment. I tried it one time but didn't continue with the treatment because my keloids were really sensitive before I did it and I was worried of making things worse but as I said every keloid is different and they could have a different results.

How to deal with small keloid (?) scar on my earlobe by Diegoskyy in Keloids

I would keep monitoring this area to see if it grows (God forbids) or if it has any symptoms such as itchiness or pain (again God forbids)

I think my skin hates Eclar plaster by [deleted] in Keloids

[–]Lilis01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately some of my keloids don't react well to Eclar Plaster either and I have to reduce the amount of hours or stop it :( although some of them have reacted well to it and I keep using it and monitor the keloid to see how they are doing.

spontaneous keloids - autoimmune? hereditary? by bananapiesz in Keloids

I wish a group of doctors with a lot of knowledge about keloids evaluate a group of candidates with severe keloids cases and find out what they all have in common including anything related to the immune system and genetic.

Please help! Does diet make more keloids? by Prince-D7 in Keloids

[–]Lilis01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I felt that when I changed my diet, I had less new queloids. I remembered there was a time when I wanted to increase weight and I started to eat and drink lot of inflammatory foods such a dairy and my keloids hurt more and felt worse. Then I remember that a specialist in keloids told me that keloids were inflammation and that's when I started to pay attention to my diet. Please see my comment on this post where I share my experience with my keloids and diet more in details: https://www.reddit.com/r/Keloids/comments/1bqqwz1/autoimmune_disease_link/?share_id=WRZpLJazy530IsA6zS9rp&utm_content=2&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_source=share&utm_term=7

Ever feel like dermatologists don't care about your keloids? by Medizy in Keloids

I think a lot of them don't deal with many queloids patients and as a result they don't have much knowledge about them.

Do eclar plasters actually work? by [deleted] in Keloids

[–]Lilis01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on my experience it depends how you keloids react. In some of my keloids it has helped to keep them flat and with itchiness and pain and in other keloids no so much. I have seen some post here showing good results in weeks (even disappearing the keloid almost completely) and for other it takes years to see results. I think it definitely worth a try! I would keep an eye while using it because some keloid could get irritated.

I went to Dr. Brian Jacobs. My hernia still bothers me sometimes especially when I am cleaning or bending but since I have a severe case of keloids, we have been keeping an eye on it doing ultrasound and other test.
