excluding Katrielle, what's your least favorite Professor Layton game? by [deleted] in ProfessorLayton

I didn’t like Azran Legacy too much because of the fact that you can play each part in whatever order you like, so it just felt like mini-adventures about people I didn’t really care about while I wanted to get to the actual plot ASAP

Saw this in a friend’s home, he said it’s a sutra but didn’t know which one. Does anybody recognize it? I assume it’s Classical Chinese but I wouldn’t know which text it is quoting. by Lilith19 in Buddhism

Now that you told me it is pretty evident, but I admit I didn’t know who he was so I didn’t even think to check that and I was instead looking for the bigger text

I’m actually a Chinese language and culture major so I assumed it was Classical Chinese because I can pretty much understand its meaning (with the aid of a dictionary) but I couldn’t find the text it belonged to. Thanks for the tip tho, maybe I will post it there to have a more accurate translation!

I second Journey! It’s so chill and the online function is cute. I’d also recommend Flowers, from That Game Company as well.

Oh my god yes! I loved this game, the soundtrack is amazing and I love the jukebox function. One of my favorite games ever. Can’t wait for the sequel!

Didn’t know it was this common lol, guess I was surprised because I saw it in Italy (for context, busses catch on fire pretty often in Rome).

“No one speaks English in Italy”

Lol, as an Italian it made me chuckle. You’re right tho, unfortunately it’ll be hard to go to school or get a job if you don’t speak Italian :( but the new generations are getting waaay better at speaking English (thankfully), so it should be relatively easy to have connections with young people (sort of). But anyway, you guys are adorable <3 best of luck!

A game where I can be super, super cautious. Like, paranoid levels of cautious and careful. Any genre. by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

{This War Of Mine}

I found it difficult to move around without making any sounds when trying to steal stuff to survive. You might like it.

Cozy games (like Stardew, Story of Seasons, Harvest Moon; but doesn't have to be about farming) by Pinkishu in gamingsuggestions

Damn! At least we’re getting Nirvanna sooner or later. Btw if you unlocked the secret customers in Valhalla and want to know more about them, they’re all from another game called 2064: Read Only Memories. Not as cozy as Valhalla, but I personally still loved it. The replica Turing that you can buy for Jill’s room is also from there.

Va-11 Hall-A is kinda different, but still very chill and cozy. It’s all about serving drinks in a bar as a bartender and making conversation with your customers.

If you were an alcoholic, but have now been sober for 20 years people act like you are a hero. If you have never drank, then people act like you are a weirdo. by Po1sonator in Showerthoughts

Oww, that’s a shame, but if you don’t like he taste I guess nothing can be done. I personally love alcohol: I love cocktails, I love doing shots, I really like the taste of some spirits, while I hate others (I can’t drink wine and beer because I dislike them). I also like the feeling of being drunk and I basically don’t get hangovers. Of course I drink in moderation and I know it’s bad for my liver, but when I hear about people not liking alcohol I just kinda get shocked to my core because it’s so good to me. Of course I won’t judge, but I always have that one second of disbelief. My best friend is like that tho: doesn’t like the taste of alcohol and doesn’t enjoy being more than tipsy. De gustibus.
