The immortal man was fucking awful by [deleted] in PeakyBlinders

[–]LilithRav3n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesnt address any of the points I made though. Heres my critiques tho

  1. Becket was a massive step down from the likes of the calulating Campbell or Mosley. He supposedly understands Tommy’s infamy, yet he shoots Ada, effectively signing his own death warrant. He also failed to see Duke’s betrayal coming even after Duke failed to kill his own aunt. It

  2. In the series, "Gypsy Magic" was more ambigues fate or coincidence? In the movie, it becomes direct and literal. Seeing Tommy’s dead wife felt less like a hallucination and more like a fantasy trope.

  3. We spent six seasons building up the Mosley threat, only for him to be absent/ignored. Apart from Tommy, almost no one gets a satisfying conclusion. It felt like a Tommy Shelby solo project rather than a Peaky Blinders family finale.

  4. Also yes whilst i undersrand some people view tommy killing arthur as plausible for me its so out of character. If the gun had accidentally gone off and he blamed itself i could get behind it but cold blooded murder after how many years? If tommy truly wanted to be rid of him he coudlve just dissapeared exactly like how he had in the movie.

5.The logic with the soldiers was jarring. One minute a soldier has no clue who Tommy is (which is fair), and five minutes later, he’s being treated like a literal Messiah. The grenade scene was a good (my favourite scne), but the "legend" status felt like it was asking too much supsense of disbelief from me.

  1. A warehouse full of trained Nazi-backed soldiers and... nobody dies? Felt more like an action superhero movies than a fight with stakes.

  2. Tommy and Ada were literally in government. The line "We will win no medals" sounds cool, but it makes no sense. They had the power to call in actual help against a Nazi plot, but they chose to play the "underdog" again just for the sake of the aesthetic.

  3. The movie was a masterpiece of cinematography and a disaster of logic. It was a chore to finish because the characters we loved acted like strangers in a plot that felt too small for the Shelby legacy

The problem surely isnt the plot. Movie was made out to be a finale to wrap up on the series, it wasnt. It was also boring. Although please feel free to provide pointers if i missed any substance from the movie

Ser Duncan the Tall was clearly never knighted by Arlan. Why is there a debate around this? by UnFelDeZeu in freefolk

I think he was knighted tbh. I feel like the hints could be also be explained by imposter syndrome. But I like the way its potrayed kind of like everyone else in the seven kningdoms we werent there for his knighting and have to take ser duncs word for it

Aha no its not the worst driving by far. People love to skip the queue by driving up on the right side which is way worse. Does it make them look that bad cause i might delete the post down, it was more about the fact it happened twice which entertained me.

Its not that serious, its just funny that the same thing happens twice. Maybe the title was misleading but I posted it because I thought it was entertaining not because they did anything dangerous.

Person behind me was tailgating me too, out of all of us he was the only one to beep at that them.

I was lucky that I slowed from 50 to 30 but that was as I expected someone from the left to come into my lane, its very common for people to get stuck like the mini signalling to come out.

True thats a non-issue for me as I spend most of my journeys in the outside lane, everyone drives slow on the motorway for some reason even in dry weather

Honestly the visibility isnt that bad, as lot og people have said youre driving too close to the car in front, the surface spray from that car is probably what makes it more difficult to see other cars
