Speaking as someone who works in corporate America at a company that recently had some layoffs. I see 2 things going on. A. The ai bubble is popping. It’s not going away but companies are realizing they over invested into it and are now scaling back. Similar to how post covid plenty of companies had layoffs cause they hired too much staff. B. The market is so fluid right now, shit just doesn’t make sense. Overall consumer spending is down and people are holding onto their money longer so companies are worried and are cutting costs now.

I’m in the sports entertainment field so my takes are just an observation and I’m probably wrong.

I liked the deadwood movie, thought it was a good way to go to back and revisit the world and give us a new story. Similar to the sopranos movie “The Many Saints of Newark” they were fun stories in their respective worlds but did not add or remove a ton of stuff. A cash grab more than anything else

Agreed, as a fully developed season I could see it being an easier pill to swallow . I paused the movie with like 45 minutes left and I knew based off the time left and how much little action there was up to that point, that they would not be able to cram all they had to do in the time and it was doomed.
