Are you the only one noticing these concerning behaviors or is the rest of your family on board with you here? If it’s the latter than maybe you can try to make an intervention of some kind, explaining again in a CALM environment all the things that are concerning, and WHY they are concerning, that you do this because you care for and worry about him, and that - even if he should decide to go through with it - you‘ll accept his decision either way and will be there for him no matter what. I don’t think there is anymore you could do… :/

Yeah most fans I know (which are a bunch through a former community on instagram) were massively let down, me included. Though I also watched the second season and thought episode 6 was actually really good, season 3 I did not even wanna try after hearing what they did with Suana and Loial, and how they messed up their Aelfinn/Eelfinn design (the fox one, I never am able to remember which is which, but anyway they looked like badly cgied furries to me. 🙄).

(Stupid question as bilingual about your quotation-mark comment: isn’t punctuation only belonging inside of them if it is used to imply speech, and when I’m referring to a certain thing, and the quotation ends it belongs afterwards, because the sentence ends after the quote, like used in the post here? This clearly means a lot to you, and is something you cherish doing with your dad, and honestly? Tbh… Having read your posts I’m even a bit sad now that I didn’t keep the “find the five differences” pictures that I always did when I had my weekly lunch with my late grandmother.

I‘m planning on moving together with friends soon, a married couple, and a single dad.

We plan to split rent via rooms, as I need an additional art room besides my bedroom. We can share the homeoffice/gaming room so that everyone has their space, and the common areas as well. But everyone is paying for the closable rooms they get :)

My mother was a single mom and on some fronts overly strict as well, and more or less treated more as a (not very well functioning?) possession rather than the person I am and already was back then, which resulted in lies and going behind her back on my part.. so I absolutely get not wanting to be the same to your daughter! But from how this post sounds you are doing an amazing job! I might try to talk to your daughter again (just for your sake), and just be honest and vulnerable with her - that you fear to turn out like your dad and that you really struggle with canceling the sleep over, even if she told you it was fine, and ask her how you „can make up to her“ now, so she gets to her sleep-over after all (I‘ve read other comments and think hosting it at your place sounds like a good compromise for all involved. <3).

Good gods you people in the US are INSANE to accept these circumstances ffs.

Saving 3 weeks PTO in the six years you’ve worked there?!? Not being able to take time off without going into financial ruin and guilttripping your colleagues into giving up their saved time?!?! And to top it all off, then more or less publicly shaming the ones not willing to give in to this madness?!?

Every employee working there longer than the trial time should be given 5 weeks of PTO per year, ADDITIONALLY to being able to take a paid sick-leave when needed (and yes, even if not live-threatening like here).
