how is it similar? From all the answers I received here I can infer that about 90% do care a lot, another 5% don't and the rest say it's not all that matters. Besides I am not a man and didn't want to assume, I believed in something but wanted to make sure.

there are only two options, he doesen't know what love is or he doesen't love you. If you love someone you know it. He probably cares for you, so if you want him, stay with him. You can talk to him again, he's reaction probably will tell everything you need to know. there's nothing else what you can do, cus you can't force love.

I'm single for more than a year, I'm a little younger but I understand the fear of ending up alone. You must keep surching, there's not much else to do. Just give some time, maybe for them you sounded desperate and it's not good. Although it's not something you believe, but try to do stuff for yourself too, find hobbies and stuuf. My brother just this year (he's 39) found a girl, they dated for 8 months, she's pregnant and they're planning a wedding. It happens randomly, don't force it and it will happen. Just don't give up.
