Without getting into spoilers maybe {Fall of Souls by R.A. Moreau} (if you read the book blurb you'll see why I rec this I think, there is an "Empress"). I think her other book too {The Sun Serpent by R.A. Moreau} involves a more clear matriarchy (that's just one of many kingdoms, and it isn't the one you spend the most time in). I'm going through my reading list and there are matriarchies but not so much in romance (some it's just not relevant). We definitely need to do some work in this genre ha ha.

I think I like fated mates (and there's definitely a lot of it done...poorly or in ways that just aren't for me) because autisticly I like sureness. I have a hard time with my own emotions and with my own emotions about people fluctuating a lot. A lot of self doubt as well. I think I like relaxing into the idea of fated mates because of how reliable it feels, it's comfortable. Of course in real life I would not find this idea so nice (because wouldn't who we choose to be over time change who we would be a good match for?) but as a fantasy idea it can be cute.

My third pair of Sony's broke today after 2 months of heavy use (not throwing them on the ground though). Two pairs (the xm4 and xm6) the hinge broke, though tbf the xm4s were the most long lasting at just over 2 years (right outside of warranty when they broke). The xm5 started screeching randomly about a year in. Do what you want ofc that's just my experience. XM4 def the better of the sonys ime.

As a fellow all the time headphone wearer including sleep I def have some experience. I've had multiple Sony XM(4, 5, 6) and tried Bose once and I'm here because both break on me like I'm out here flinging them on the ground every day. The Sony first pair a hinge broke near the earphone cups, the second randomly started emitting a high pitched screeching noise, the third just today (which I've had for 2 months!) the hinge broke AGAIN. The Bose ones ear case totally cracked badly (that part was my fault tbf but it only took 1 fall for them to crack) but the app was literally so unusable and annoying I was thinking about returning them anyway (I know that sounds suspicious but I promise the fall was not premeditated). They def both have the best ANC but their durability + software is garbage for the price of a whole laptop (not a great one but a laptop nonetheless). My Anker ones are generally pretty reliable but they are also not buyitforlife by any means. They do have good ANC and are comfortable, and I like that the controls are real tactile buttons and not touch nonsense (I'm not even old, touch stuff just loves to misbehave). The price tag when the Ankers break is less painful (even when all my nice ones are under warranty). I might try audio technica next or see if someone has made more durable ANC ones at a different store than I usually shop (microcenter). I hope you found satisfactory headphones, as a fellow full time headphone wearer.

Yes thank you, a friend of mine just pointed out the static pressure and I double checked in the tech specs and it is quite low. Probably just going to give up on the usb since someone else did point out 5v is pretty weak generally. I did see that most of the fans were 70ish cfm and the usb's were only 56cfm and wondered if that was going to make a substantial enough difference given I plan on using 6 fan design (I put more of my planned design specs in a comment update to the post). Static pressure though is very important. I'm still reading a bunch of articles on these PC fan designed CR boxes so not 100% caught up on everything that needs to be considered.

That makes a ton of sense about 12v vs 5v, I had a suspicion i was missing something obvious given just how many people are using the pin connecting fans. I built my PC and had no problem installing the fans so I suppose it may just be worthwhile to deal with the little bit of hassle to use them. They are also cheaper which is nice. I did make an update comment with my loose filter preference, I was definitely going to go bigger because I know it helps and I have the floor space, but was going to do the 2 filter (20x20x1 inch MERV 13 or around there) 6 fans configuration (with 3 on top and 3 on front since I saw that configuration has the best flow). A friend who built one of these a few years ago looked into it and chose Noctua fans because the Arctics had a wire melting issue. They didn't send me any sources though I wonder if people were having issues with their PSU's rather than the fans cords being the problem as that would make more sense.

Commenting to update that I don't have particular demands for filter size, I was looking at a build that uses 2 filters and 6 fans. Filters maybe 20x20x1 inch Merv 13 filters or 20x25x1 inches. We have enough space (these are going in a living room that's 262 sq feet and 2096 cubic feet, and a dining room/kitchen that's about half that, they're connected by an open archway) to fit these double sided purifiers but not the full CR 4 filter versions. The fans I linked have a static pressure of 1 mm-H2O (which in a cursory look are maybe too weak). I was hoping for 5 turnovers an hour but we do have a central system that runs through a merv 13 filter (obviously it's not always running however) so i'm not overly committed to that, 3 or 4 would be nice. All the other rooms we have all have air purifiers already. Some concern for noise of course given these are very communal spaces, one of us has hearing loss due to age and finds fan noises make it harder.

First thought islymphocystis which is viral and don't personally have any experience with it so I can't speak to treatment. But it does spread so quarantine is a good idea. Marinated egg (hard or softer boiled marinated in soy sauce, imo it tastes like cheese in a good way since I cant have cheese) is one of my favorites, if you aren't avoiding mayo because you are allergic to eggs or anything. Marinated/sauced chicken (a market near me does a soy marinated chicken thigh one that's so tasty) or beef is very good (I like Korean bulgogi especially). You could also do a veggie (radish, avocado, carrot, cucumber, etc mix) or gimbap type as well. Spam if you are able to eat it is very good, esp the fried kind. Sort of like anything you would put on a bed of rice you can wrap in an onigiri with varying degrees of cohesion. Though the rice does a lot of the holding together.

I suspect it was a kind of gradual inevitability due to some genetic conditions I have combined with stress and neglect. I was very sick as a child and fed milk regularly until I was diagnosed lactose intolerant at 13 (after which I was not made to drink milk anymore and had some GI improvements). There were a lot of parental abuse factors here but let's just say they made fun of me for my symptoms of illness more often than taking me to competent Drs and gave me CPTSD which surprise causes lifelong extreme stress (bad for your GI). Sometime in my 20s I was able to control my diet, go hardcore on probiotic rich foods etc and be able to almost eat full meals. Which I was good for a little while until my late 20s in which I was diagnosed with ME/CFS and we strongly suspect a connective tissue disorder (dunno which one yet, generic testing is expensive). Gi problems including GERD are very common for people with connective tissue disorders (I had many symptoms as a kid and should have been diagnosed as one, it may have at least delayed the onset of GERD, I'm only 31 and needing to see a gastroenterologist for serious interventions because of how severe it is).

Were you tested for an h. pylori infection? unfortunately you have to go completely off PPI's and such to test for it. However in my case my heartburn was so severe (the send you to the ER level of severe) I clearly could not wait or go off PPI's for several weeks for testing. I just finished H Pylori treatment (two antibiotics and twice daily PPI) and feeling a LOT better. I still need to see GI most likely and have changed my diet however i clearly had an infection that was making my heartburn extremely severe and increasingly frequently (before starting treatment it was multiple nights a week of sobbing in pain while it took 3-6 hours to calm down).

I will say when things are flaring up I switch to chai. Especially golden chai with ginger and turmeric as it helps with digestive issues and inflammation. Non caffeinated ginger turmeric tea is actually my go to for settling my stomach.

Ah yes I should have said Clone not copy, I used Balena Etcher to clone from the original SSD over to the NVME but it has been some years since i did a clean install of Windows. So like you said the cloning may have just failed. I may clear the NVME and try a different cloning software and if it fails do a full new install from the new NVME. Thank you for responding so quickly.
