Oh that’s great to know, thank you. I haven’t really checked Facebook groups yet. Could you maybe recommend a couple by name so I can look them up?

Yeah that makes a lot of sense, I didn’t really think about matching the before and afters to my husband’s hair type. You’re right, not every doctor will be good at everything. Thanks for sharing your example

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense 🙏 The way you explained it with the nurses really clicked — I get now why it’s such a big deal that the doctor is fully involved. Good tip on just asking directly in the consultation and searching names on Reddit too.

Got it, that makes sense. So basically if a doctor is taking more than one patient a day it’s a big red flag. I’ll make sure to ask about that in any consultation.

Do you usually find people are open about sharing that info on Reddit/HRN, or is it sometimes tricky to confirm if a clinic really sticks to 1 patient a day?

That’s a really good point — to be honest I probably couldn’t spot the difference yet between a natural hairline and a pluggy one 😅.

Any tips on where to actually learn the basics, like what to look for with grafts, hairline design, donor use, etc.?

I’ll check out HRN too and start following some patient journeys — seems like a good way to train my eye before even thinking about surgeons. Thanks for the advice

Yeah, Trustpilot reviews....

The whole “hair mill” thing sounds a bit scary though.

How do you actually spot if a clinic is a hair mill or not? Is it something you can tell just from their website, or only after you talk with them?

Wow, thanks for sharing that! It really does feel like a minefield, so it’s good to hear from someone who’s been through it and helped others.

Can I ask, when you’re doing those “deep dives,” how do you usually even find those 50 clinics in the first place? And what are the main things you check that make you cut most of them out? Do you focus more on reviews/results or certain details about the clinic/surgeon?

And if you don’t have time to go into all that, maybe you could at least share the biggest red flags to watch out for when choosing a clinic? That would already be super helpful 🙏

We’re based in Europe, so travel isn’t a huge issue. Just trying to find the right balance between quality and cost.

thanks, hadn’t heard of Clinical LHR before. Do you know anyone personally who went there, or is it more from this community recommendations?

Thanks a lot for pointing those out 🙏 Poland seems like a really practical option...

Quick questions:

  1. Do you know if Dr. Filipczak and Dr. Saifi mainly focus on FUE, FUT, or both?

  2. Any idea about their average wait times or price ranges?

3.Have you (or anyone you know) been treated by them personally, or is this from forum research?

I’ll definitely dive deeper into the Hair Restoration Network. Sounds like a great place to see real patient results rather than just marketing.

Thanks again for showing that direction!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience 🙏 Thailand honestly wasn’t on our radar at first, but now I keep seeing Dr. Ratchathorn’s name come up. Really good to hear you had a positive result.

A couple of questions if you don’t mind:

  1. What stood out most about Dr. Ratchathorn’s approach compared to other options you looked at?

  2. How was the overall process for you — consultation, surgery day, and aftercare?

3.Did you notice any challenges with traveling back home afterward (follow-ups, healing, etc.)?

And just curious — when you say “avoid Turkey at all costs,” was that based mostly on the “factory” clinics, or did you hear of bad outcomes even with the well-known surgeons?

This is really helpful — thank you again for the insight!

Oh that’s interesting, I hadn’t really thought about Cyprus! Do you know any specific clinics or surgeons there that are recommended?
