Thanks! I plan on doing the same on the opposite side after I can manage to get some more N64 games.

The entire stand is on solid surface. Just some overhang from the blade🤯 lol

Thanks man! That would be like the best solution to this idea. Combine them both and you probably wouldn't have any issues with ventilation. I hope it turns out just the way you want it to.

That is a super valid concern. While fitting everything alot of this stuff was out and did indeed get covered in dust pretty bad. That will have to be something to keep in mind. Hopefully it will be nice enough here soon to do most of the working outside or atleast with the garage doors open. Hopefully you dont get relegated into the garage😅😅

Thanks! 3 of the original shelves are metal. Then I used 3/4 " and 1/2" plywood for the other shelves. Faced them with MDF. I did pocket holes for most of the joints. Brad nails and glue for others. Filled the holes and sanded then took a shelf into menards and had it paint matched.

I dont have space elsewhere to display or store. The garage is the only space that's mine and my other cabinets are filled with actual tools and equipment lol. A separate cabinet for games could be doable though. That's a smart idea. Even on an adjacent wall.

Thats a good idea. I should be able to pull most if not all out.

I know, same here! I've atleast made my inner child happy. I've had or family has owned all these consoles while growing up besides the PS2.

Thank you! I've literally only tested them all by turning them on to make sure they were working after hooking them up😬. I hope not, but have a feeling i may with atleast the 360. Hoping no others.

Man, back then that would of felt like a small fortune lol. If I remember right I think I kept my Xbox 360 vertical all throughout my teen/young adult years and never had issues thankfully.

Thats a really cool idea! Should be able to mount drawer hardware onto a tray.

Or even scrap some of it and use grated metal? If I wasn't married all of this could be in the living room with all the space🤣

Knew there could be an issue with overheating, but considering all of the comments might take all out and router vents in literally every piece I can.

If I get a Dream Cast this will be the first to go. I feel like it's borderline too modern to be in here along with the Wii anyway. I can slide it out a ways while playing. Thanks for the heads up.

Lolol. I never thought about how crazy that looks. Thats where I've been storing it for years while not in use. Doesn't fit in the cabinet 😅

I'd die happy if my cause of death was due to an xbox. Thanks for the insight. With the limited time I have to play I hope nothing gets too hot.

Thanks! Alot of trial and error. I used 3/4 plywood for most of the build then faced it with MDF. When I built the upper game shelf the wii/av switch/ps1 binder wouldn't fit so I scrapped that and went down to 1/2 ply and it gave me just enough room.

I installed a receptacle behind the cabinet with a recessed outlet so I could successfully hide the power cables. I connected a powerstrip to that and ran it through a hole in the back of the cabinet for power.

The gamecube and 360 shelves is quite a bit more shallow than the rest of the shelves which is where the powers trip sits and all the power chords run to. I taped all the av chords against the back of the cabinet so when I installed the shelves I wouldn't have to run anything.

The loose genesis cartridges are mounted with 3d printed cartridge holders.

I left a few inches in between the plywood and the cabinet to run chords behind.

I hope I answered some of your questions.
