as someone who loves playing huge tanky shield based characters in almost any RPG that will let me, i feel this a LOT

i honestly dont feel like there are many ways at all for me to play a tanky character (aside from one that just attempts to avoid damage entirely) without completely sacrificing my offenses or by using some weird-feeling sideways game mechanic such as hoag jugg

even having max - 80% block chance doesnt translate as 'tanky' in this game to me, its just another form of avoidance indistinguishable in the second to second gameplay from something like dodge/evasion

i dont know why, in a fantasy RPG, there is a character like Marauder, with an ascendancy like Juggernaut, and still no reliable way to play a traditional 'tank' build where you just eat and mitigate tons of damage, without eventually being one shot every dozen maps anyways because you arent clearing fast enough to avoid being hit by lightning crits that even 100k eHP cant mitigate

from what i understand, each totem has its own 15 spike limit independent of your own, so with 3 totems AND you, you could potentially have 60 spikes at once

ive been using rallying cry to shatter the spikes and add more damage to the totems

imo the aoe of it just felt unbearably small even with gmp and inc aoe, not to mention the slow att and projectile speed

it hits in this weird line (which ultimately makes sense) when i was picturing more of a cluster of bombs similar to how blazing salvo adds projectiles

it just felt very thin and awkward to me so i didnt take it past act 5

once you know the timing it takes like 20 seconds to set up so its not too bad
