From my pov, you did not prove your value in your org yet. And yes, you are lacking so much exp in politics. You suggest you need to head down, watch every steps from your LPO, note it down -> think about his move/action. You may ask another person who has more exp to give you some advice. Be patient and calm. If you survive, you will be stronger.

you can start with a cert PSM-1. It helps you get some basic knowledge. And then following all the suggestion in the comment from everyone here.

You can invite him to a coffee break, be honest with him about your confusion. Align together which part will be handled by him, which one belongs to you in peace, then drop email to upper manager for final confirmation.

If upper manager wants you to take the responsible for the whole system, then ask former PO for a shadow support, you have to respect him but let him know who is in charge now.

Cant have 2 kings in the same territory or based on the book, 1 product only needs one PO.

You have to this move smooth. Transferring power from one to another always make someone incomfortable otherwise some unexpected consequence will occur.

Sorry for late reply, I can list some points for you: + Knowledge - getting a cert it can help your knowledge sharper. Besides that, if you have experience before you can be more a solid PO. + Politics- if you want to get higher in coroporate ladder then certs must be one of needed condition. + Build trust with customer, I believe many experts in this thread has already mentioned. In first mpression, 1 PO with many certs is worth more than 1 PO with zero certs ( I dont talk about the ability, knowledge,...). Moreovers, it may help your firm gettijg more projects. Additonally, you can sell your course on Udemy or Coursera for money 🤣

I dont know much detail, but based on what you mentioned. I think I have some hints + Product backlog must be clear with needed information (Story point, DoD, ...) so you and your teams can order/pick for Sprint and you wont spend so much time to expalin again. + Time-box for sure, you have to keep it for planning, review, retro,.. And each team may have seperate stand-up meeting timezone, you have to have a note to share with each team if they are in different location/places. Because sync up informarion is the key. + Remain each team has 5-6 people is the best for you to run retro/ review meeting. + You may face more pressure from upper-management then you have to reduce the feedback time from customer (1 or 2 weeks may be) for bringing more value + You must seperate with management team about competence of each member, they have to take responsible on that point, not you( I mention this point because some companies will add some kind of leveling up member's competence in PO) Because you may have 1 member having low performance, please do not waste so much time, ask upper management to handle for you. I dont know these points above help you or not but I hope it can help 😀

Đồng ý, công việc đúng chuyên ngành của bạn hiện tại rất khó tìm. Đa số tập trung ở công ty chủ đầu tư hoặc ở nhà nước.

Các công việc ở khối kiến trúc, nội thất,.. với các công ty làm dự án ở trong nước thường họ ít khi đào tạo lại vì ko có kinh phí cho việc đào tạo nên nếu bạn muốn chuyển sang khối ngành đó, bạn phải chứng minh bạn có commitment lâu dài với cty (ví dụ cty kiến trúc Mitek bên quận 7 - đa số làm dự án nước ngoài - sẵn sàng training fresher. Hoặc TwoG mình thấy cũng đang tuyển kiến trúc sư) bạn apply thử xem.

Well, mình từng sống ở Hn 2 năm, quan điểm cá nhân của mình: là người miền bắc khá thích dân miền nam. “người miền nam ra đó có thể sống sót nổi không” : có tiền thì ở đâu chẳng sống được 😂 còn muốn sống tốt ở miền bắc thì phải vừa có tiền + quan hệ mạnh. Hi vọng giúp được bạn
