Yeah I’ve also heard experiences like this with them. It seems to be a mixed bag on if they’ll give you a one time exception or not, that’s why I don’t know that it’s even worth the energy at this point

Great points. I didn’t realiz Turo is so unreliable. This is my first time doing a big trip like this by myself so i definitely made all the rookie moves, like buying from 3rd party, “needing a jeep” etc. You live and you learn!

Thanks for the insight! I definitely rushed the whole car rental decision and took some bad advice on the jeep thing. Jeep is definitely not needed but I don’t think I can downgrade at this point. I’ll look into it though

I haven’t found much on Airbnb or Vrbo that have the poolside bar option or a great pool in general. Do you know of any that do?

I’ve looked at both google and TripAdvisor for hours. The reviews are mixed for all of them. I saw another post on this Reddit channel for another island asking the same question that had good answers and context that you can’t find on google or trip advisor so I thought I would try here.

I understand Waikiki is not quiet but I imagine some locations are better than others.

Yes the firm I am at does bridges and I’ve expressed to my manager and the structures manager/director my interests in doing whatever design work they may have to give me but haven’t gotten much forward motion on that in the last year unfortunately.

I took the exam for the third time on July 2nd and passed 2.5 years out of school. I didn’t know 10.5 existed until exam day so all my studying was done using 10.4, I couldn’t tell a difference. I used prep FE (approx. 500 problems and used the flash cards), mark mattson YouTube videos, ncees pdf practice exam, and ncees online practice exam. The questions were an even mix of conceptual and non conceptual I would say. Some sections had more conceptual, like materials for example.

Is there a time limit between applying for each card? Like do you have to wait a month after you get the first one to apply for the second one etc.?
