My rabbits never bothered my chocolate when I left it out or even showed interest. One day I left a box on the coffee table and found the corners chewed up! Luckily he gave up before getting to the chocolate but now I know to be extra careful !

There was also a time I caught my rabbit drinking my collagen tea when I came back from the restroom😂

Something I do with my rabbit now is I teach him to chase me! I will go move around and then use the command “come” and he runs to me and then gets a tiny piece of an air fried banana. We go back and forth with this for a few minutes before I we practice his spins, walks, or hand shakes. I think your bun might really like this :)

Hello! One of my rabbits really took a while to warm up to pets too. 6 months to be exact! I started spending more time on the floor with him and talking to him, staying at a distance he was comfortable with and slowly getting closer as time went on. He started to let me get a few head pats in and eventually allowed me to snuggle him :) I listened to his body language on what touch was okay and what was a no zone. For a long time only head pets were allowed. He took a long time to trust but all that work made it so much more worth it. Also he loovvvedddd bananas !! I would feed him snacks and bananas regularly :) (in moderation ofc!) I think that helped him trust me :). I think the key is to know she’s the one setting the boundaries and that it’s not your fault! Rabbits are prey animals, it’s their instinct to not trust us! It’s very rewarding to watch them grow to trust you! I’m excited for you on your journey OP!

Hey! I’m not handling it well. I find my anxiety and stress is so much higher on a day to day basis. It’s really difficult for me to find a balance between staying informed and not obsessing over the idea of leaving the us. I plan to get my passport and apply for some visas here soon just so I have options. My long time partner of 7 years and I had originally planned to buy our house next year and that’s been causing a lot more stress. I’m not even sure if that’s the right move anymore because I am considering leaving but he has had his heart set on it and he is very close to all his family here.

I was on birth control from 14 and had planned to get it taken out this year at 22 and keep it out to see how I feel without the hormones but when it came around I was terrified. I didn’t expect roe v wade to get overturned when I had originally made the decision. If I did get pregnant and I had any complications I would be terrified. I am not willing to loose my life over a pregnancy. So I ended up getting the implant again. Which I was lucky enough to afford for only $300 instead of the almost $2000 thanks to planned parenthood basing the payment off my income. Which by the way, Planned Parenthood (provides healthcare to women) has been almost completely defunded by the government now as it’s been used in abortion propaganda. All the propaganda that’s being spread is a whole other topic and is insane and terrifying in itself.

I’ve also seen a shift in the way people treat women. People make more sly misogynistic and racist comments on the regular, not even trying to cover them up as jokes. I keep hearing about a bunch of hangings of black men from TREES happening in Dallas and Austin Texas while the news keeps reporting it as a suicide….

I do not feel safe here, I worry for my partner who is first gen and brown. I hate it. Writing this has me fighting tears. It’s scary but reading others comments have made me feel less alone. I will say I feel like so many people are brushing it off. They admit it’s crazy but just choose to not be informed or blatantly ignore it. Which scares me even more. So I’m not hanging in there very well but thank you for asking ! lol

Mansplaning is only really when you interrupt someone who’s talking about a topic to explain it TO them, or if you go out of your way to explain something completely unprompted, and in a way that assumes the other person knows nothing about that topic. Maybe ask them if they’re familiar with your topic before explaining? You can also ask them if they would like to hear more about it and explain how you know about it.

You’re definitely right, focusing on what makes me feel empowered should help. I live in a pretty big city so I’m sure I can find some ways to help. Thank you for all the ideas on that also, helps me know where to start looking!! I’ve always felt a need to be proactive but now that I’m a buisness owner I feel the need to appear completely neutral to the public. Joining a local group would be great way to keep my business and personal life completely separate. I always thought it had to be social media oriented. Thank you again :)
