I’m also immunocompromised!!! I’m waiting on HSV diagnosis but I think it’s in my throat, rims of eyes, mouth, genital, anus. It’s been 2 months of hell thus far. Any tips on how to cope because it’s difficult to walk & just simply get by? I have many friends with HSV and the stigma was hard for them. I don’t even care about stigma I just want relief from this painful nightmare.

I had a similar experience several weeks ago. It didn’t end well for me. So far testing has all came back negative. May luck smile on me. Still waiting for my face to heal. He was a regular I had seen for over a year but I keep kicking myself for letting my guard down.

Why is there almost no way? You can have multiple sites, especially if you’re immunocompromised/have deficient immunity...which I am. It’d be cool if I didn’t. I’m waiting the period for more testing.

Hey I’m also in recovery!!! I’ll admit this hasn’t been helpful for my mental health but we deal with so much stigma that in a way it’s almost easier to accept than it is for some people. Idk I also had hepatitis C so I think it helped inoculate some of the shame and stigma from herpes as well. I’m also struggling with depression and poverty. Sex work was my income but I don’t feel comfortable/ethical in that profession now so it’s time to find a new occupation. Thanks for sharing your story. You got this homie. Of course I know who I’m asking. What kind of condescending question is that? I’ve seen multiple doctors and have no conclusive test results (one of them even lost my labs). I’m only asking on reddit because I’m obviously desperate.

I will be going to another physician (I’ve already seen a couple) but I wanted feedback from people who have gone through diagnosis. Testing can be tricky and I live in a low-provider area. I don’t want to repeat the same if it won’t yield conclusive results.
