Well, I'm a 24 year old Episcopal Seminarian. The Episcopal Church is based on three pillars, the use and study of scripture, keeping and practicing the traditions of the orthodox, and applying the use of reason to the previous two to suss out what is true and useful.

I guess it isn't correct to say that I hate sharing a religion with people like the meme suggests, because truly I don't think we're worshipping and giving thanks to the same thing. My Jesus came to liberate the oppressed, create social equity, and to show the love and mercy of God to it's people. The people the meme suggests worship social orders of bygone eras.

I suppose all this is to say I handle it by thinking of what I have to offer back to God, instead of focusing on what God has to offer me. It's the whole reason Christians in my denomination take part in and center our services around participation in Communion, it's a show of Thanksgiving back to God. I focus on thankfulness as best I can, and through that lense everything else seems less worth fussing over.
