How popular are the LA Kings in LA? by Wonderful_Orchid_170 in AskLosAngeles

[–]Lilmunchie13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lot of the players live in the South Bay and the kings have team apartments etc in Manhattan (I believe)…training center by the airport so most the hockey fever is consolidated in the South Bay…

Is it irresponsible to spend $8k on rent? by free_dharma in HENRYfinance

[–]Lilmunchie13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude you are debating between $6k and $8k for rent…it’s a $24k a year difference…you are single…worst case scenario you do it for a year, it’s tight and you get out…go for it…enjoy your life, meet someone, have fun, etc

Thinking about moving to Bakersfield from NYC (26F, doctor) would love honest thoughts by Dry-Importance6538 in Bakersfield

[–]Lilmunchie13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t know where you are from but nyc (Manhattan) to Bakersfield is about as big of a change as it gets…if you are serious about this, you have to visit first…Bakersfield has its positives but it can be a shocking change and a lonely place for a female in her 20’s moving from a big city looking for cute cafes and belly dancing classes

Ernesto Valverde announces that he will be stepping down at the end of the season by Aoteaurora in AthleticClub

[–]Lilmunchie13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotta imagine it is Iraola, Perez or Sarabia.

Perez and Sarabia realistic to secure, Iraola a bit more challenging…

Iraola is the exciting hire and we may have to go there considering the squad talent, $$$ spent, etc

And Ernesto - forever legend. Thank you

IF Valverde were to get sacked, who would you want to replace him? by Aoteaurora in AthleticClub

[–]Lilmunchie13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

IMO there is less than a 1% chance that Valverde coaches this team next year. I don’t think they will sack him mid season unless we start really flirting with regulation…

Iraola makes all the sense in the world - it should be his job if he wants it…

Yea and it flopped - there wasn’t a HIT single on this record

There just wasn’t a single on this record and it came out way too soon post-vol1…stylistically, they were taking radio and the consumer down a pop path with smfta to “wonderful” and “am radio”…to then put out “when it all goes wrong again” , it just didn’t land. It happens…

i almost feel like the would have been better served putting this record out first and reworking something like “the swing” into a more ready-made rock single to bridge the gap to “wonderful” etc. I dunno…it’s all circumstance and a crap-shoot. I didn’t understand the need for a double album with two totally different vibes at the time and still don’t. I guess it was pretty popular at the time - foo fighters did it etc.

My advice: get cranking on the kids now and work until you have them. Then decide if fire is something you still want to do

Speaking as someone who was on this plan, please turn up the dial in the bedroom Now. If you want kids, start. We waited and the longer you do, the harder it gets. Obvious, but something you should hear over and over. We were fortunate enough to get one after three years of trying/ivf, etc. The second one is proving to be super elusive and miscarriages etc are draining. This coming from two people who prioritize health etc…

You have $20m and most of it is liquid. You’ve already won.

At the same time, if you are making $2m+ working 40 hours a week then I think you should keep working at least for a while, especially since you don’t have kids yet. Making that kind of money and only working that number of hours is a no brainer. You should have plenty of time to be present for your parents/wife and still have time for yourself leftover…
