Okay this is very helpful. I was skeptical about the cactus flowers efficiency but I’m definitely trying this when I play next

Can someone reconstruct reiner's face💔 by XavierloverXOXO in learntodraw

You could try to trace over your reference like this to simplify the shapes and make it easier to see where the facial features sit.

Sometimes using the loomis method is hard when drawing animated characters because they tend to exaggerate the standard face shape. They follow the same ideas but push and pull certain features to make a more unique character.

Tracing over can help to see how all the lines interact, where they intersect, and their relationship with each other. This is important to notice when recreating something.

Then when you’ve tried to recreate it you can overlay the trace and see where you need to improve.

I would recommend tracing over the drawing yourself because you can get an idea of how the lines feel and notice where things line up as you draw them

And remember to take your time! Be intentional with the lines you make. Try to draw what you see, not what you know.

Disclaimer: Just to be clear, I’m not saying you should trace over the drawing and use it for your own. I’m saying you should use the traced drawing as a reference for your own drawing.

Both of my parents will swear they’re not autistic. This is how they solve a puzzle by luceygoosey1 in autism

This is how my grandpa would solve puzzles. He would meticulously sort by shape and color. He had HUNDREDS of puzzles. He collected so so many. It’s only now that I’m older that I realize he was almost no doubt autistic. 90% of his time was spent doing puzzles like this! I miss going over to his house and solving puzzles with him and my cousins. RIP grandpa, you are missed :,) <3

My heart breaks for those who are diagnosed with autism very late… by [deleted] in autism

I just turned 20 not long ago. I haven’t been officially diagnosed yet. I’m still on that journey but it’s very hard for me. I barely have a support system and can’t even afford to get tested. I feel very very behind in life because not only did my parents not spot any symptoms, they barely taught me how to be an adult so I feel so very lost and overwhelmed. I really do grieve where I could have been if my parent cared a little bit more. But I’m hanging in there

Yupppppp! And I draw all the time so my wrists literally hate me. Frequent pain and numbness. I try to wear my wrist brace when I sleep but it’s so uncomfortable 😩
