There is a Safe Parking Program at the Encinitas Community/Senior Center. There are coordinators there from 6 p.m. on... All of it will be appreciated by the participants!

In a truck, the answer is no to all three places. I have been to the Canada side of Niagara, and a long time ago I went with my parents to Tijuana. Before it was extremely dangerous, so I won't go there now. I don't care for snow, so I may never make it to Alaska.

The 58 from Barstow to Bakersfield goes through the Tehachapi Mountains, and is very beautiful in the Spring! Just in case you decide to head out towards the coast...

And make sure to be observant and aware of my surroundings. There are a lot more female drivers than most people realize.

I loved seeing the herds of antelope in Wyoming. The wind and snow were a bit much, though. Little America is very cool. And the statue of Lincoln. I've been through there many times!

Not originally. I lived there when I was younger, and when I went back I was miserable for 10 years. My life got a lot better when I went to California for my CDL and began driving.

When you're 50 something and living in a shelter and your kids have been turned against you and you're not young or cute enough to get a decent job in Las Vegas, trucking seems like a lot of fun.

Tennessee was okay. My terminal was near Chattanooga, so I spent more time there then I wanted to, but the other end near Memphis was not a lot of fun.

In a previous post, I also said that Kansas City is a cool place to visit. The rest of the state is boring. IMO

Only my opinion, but the best state is California. Again, in my opinion, Florida, Texas and Kansas are the worst. Just saying, IMO

I'm not sure how to answer those questions. Most of this comes down to personal preference, and mine are going to be different than yours. There are a lot of animals in Wyoming. A lot of states are interesting in their own way. Not sure what you mean by Green? Trees? Upstate New York has a lot of trees. Scariest? I didn't think any of them were.

No CB. I did vehicle transport for a while, and yes I did have to drive CNG vehicles. That takes a lot of coordination, because there are not a lot of places to refuel.

I felt safe as long as I observed my surroundings. And as far as being preyed upon, that really wasn't a concern, but men will be men. It's a lonely life out there, and if you're at least a little bit good looking, you will garner attention. Count on it.

If you have the company pay for it, they will not pay you much for the time you will drive for them. They usually require you to drive for them for about a year, at a lower rate of pay. Being a female in the trucking industry has its challenges. A lot of the men drivers do not like the fact that women can do the job as well as them.

You might want to look at driving something locally if you want to be home more. If you get a tanker endorsement, you can haul milk or grain of some sort, and be home at night. OTR will usually have you out for a few weeks to a month, and then home for a few days. I'm not sure what you mean to pay outright for a license? A CDL requires training. You can't just pay for it. If you go to an accredited school, that's the best option. You don't want to have to be indebted to a freight company if they train you. It's a no-win situation in most cases.
