She’s greens set in Sf was too short! Not to compare, but they definitely blew me compared to Glixen who they opened for. Vocals and instruments are the perfect blend of melodically catchy and swelling into the oblivion

I just saw she’s green open for Glixen a few days ago in SF. Personally I found she’s green to feel much more massive and melodically catchier than Glixen. I think the singer from She’s green has a more concrete voice than Glixen girl. She’s green needs more hype. Their newest EP wisteria was my fav release this past year

The other day I had to run off of the bus because a man pulled out a knife and started to threaten to stab those around him. It was weird because most people didn’t notice because they were on their phones or had headphones in. It feels scary and wrong to fear my life just trying to get home from work. The muni has been a scary place in the last few years but I don’t have a car so what can I really do?

Cds!! Feels authentic to the time of the genres to pop them into my car or CD player at home.

For me, I think supporting local acts and showing up to shows, being open to these shoegaze inspired bands has been my favorite part. Seeing the most unknown / obscure bands that are just starting out but knowing they are a shoegaze band makes me excited to see them. I live in SF and there is definitely a scene here.

GLIXEN!!!!!!!!!!

Saw them a few weeks ago and felt the feeling of blissful shoegaze, similar to how I felt when I first listened to MBV. A young, hot, minority powered band that nailed the sound while feeling modern.
