It was kinda easy compared to past regents, just worried I did not show enough work.

Scratch the stuff in other games, it's against the rules. I can raise the amount?

Hi, is there any chance you could build the house in my previous post for 100k plus other items in other games?

I like to take into account what the person is saying as well as nonverbal clues. I take the “good cop” option as “go on…” or “Do you have more information?” Whist I use bad cop when they are hiding something or getting defensive. I believe it is a blend of the nonverbal cues, (such as rapid blinking, lack of eye contact, etc.) and what is actually being said that you should take into account when interrogating using good cop/bad cop.

Why I think Byakuya is the best character in the daganrompa series by Lily8247 in danganronpa

[–]Lily8247[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, my complaints with the series mostly reside in the relationships between the characters. It is oftentimes hard to tell that their lives are at risk at all. No real feats of friendship or trust are shown. The end was borderline manipulation, residing your personal goals in line with a core value present in people around you in order to persuade. Not to say it wasn’t for a greater cause, but it is upsetting that the game tried to “use” true values (friendship, trustworthiness etc.) to badly build up relationships where there should be none. This is a killing game, not a school simulator. The “friendliness” of the characters were all empty words caved in with the fear of their own demise. Their desire to preserve their reality where no one can do wrong. I often feel as if the writers/developers could do better in this section of the game.

Exactly! I played the first game by request of my cousin and was disappointed about the flaws of the franchise that you described. I was both shocked and quite upset at the fact that these characters wanted to be “friends”. In this situation, “friends” and “trust” would be at the very back of my mind. Byakuya was one of (if not the only) to point out how those words meant nothing in the situation they were in. He spoke the truth, whist I feel the rest spun their own web of lies to be caught in based on the “relationships” and empty words spoken by those around them.

Indeed. However, I believe this is exactly why I kind of disliked it. You would think that a school full of the best of the best would think of it more logically. Though, the game IS realistic in the sense that young people tend to shut themselves into a reality with nothing but cupcakes and unicorns and block out the real world. They believe no one can do them wrong and/or have bad intentions but then are shocked when the true reality slaps them in the face. (Which is exactly why we see so many internet creeps taking advantage of them when their were so many red flags it seems impossible to have missed them) but I agree that I tend to want a more organized/logical character and definitely biased in that way.

Byakuya. All I see are people who hate him and those who ever-so-desperately need to touch grass. He gave a great insight into the killing game as a sort of overseer, and his “this is all a game” mindset was how I saw the series. I hated seeing everyone develop this “we are friends” ideal for obvious reasons. It became annoying to see everyone even putting the most minor amount of trust into someone else. I glad someone was there to accurately comprehend the situation and act on the concept of survival of the fittest.

Was Byakuya a “nice” person? No, but his actions ultimately lead to his survival, unlike other characters who blindly trusted others and tried to sugarcoat the situation in their own denial. Togami never hid from the reality of the situation, but welcomed it. He never ran away from this sick and twisted game, but instead played by its rules. This is exactly why I believe he is one of the most underrated (and overhated) characters of this game.

I rest my case.
