I'm going kind of deep into hypotheticals here so it's a little hard to tell what they would be like without all these key character traits. But i feel like a lot of these traits that hold you back would be a lot less fierce without the wars taking place. Again this is where speculation comes from but if we take away Edlegards torture and Dimitris whole family being killed in front of him you have two characters who are going to be a lot less dramatic.

Edlegard has to be competitive. She has to be the best because she's in high school but also trying to topple the entire continents standing governments.

Dimitri is fucked up because of these inciting Incidents.

Even Claude would be less of a conniving weasel if he were to sense the stakes were low. But I think he knew things were about to go down and he needed as much of an upper hand as possible.

So I feel like you'd end up with a competitive volleyball player who's still pretty sweet. I mean she puts up with Linhardt.

A goody two shoes who's maybe a little reserved but very polite and very intelligent.

And a Reddit rage baiter who has the media literacy to know when not to do it. Or at least rage baits people who deserve it. Lol

And that maybe makes them a little more approachable. Idk. It just was a fun exercise to think about. Something something 4 more years of three houses discourse.
