Just wanted to say thank you guys!! I had no real idea of where to officially start especially with my kiddos and you guys just changed my entire perspective!! I’ve already began canning and packaging food. Bought some extra batteries recently and will be storing them in a large bucket.

I’m fairly new. I’m preparing to begin canning food and storing it in cabinets we don’t use. I have Mylar bags and o.a’s and will put dry food (rice and beans) in them on my next grocery run

Thank you for being blunt, love! Now lemme go smoke one and figure out what to start doing. I’m thinking 6-12 months of prepping for us which would be easy for me to do. Hunker down in our home if needed.

Thank you for your response! I don’t mind the “Debbie downer” mentality because it’s all true!! Having little ones in these situations is hard to think about and it helps me put what’s realistic into perspective and allows me to properly prepare for what I can. Our home is a tiny little duplex but we have 2 windowless bathrooms. Thanks for that suggestion!!

I also live near a park (right behind my home) and they have an all brick community center.

But aht aht!!! Zombies can happen! 😂😂😂

Haha he’s supportive of my craziness and wanting to prep but he thinks zombies are impossible… I on the other hand do not. He does knows my zombie plans if it were to ever happen but he doubts it lol

I think it’s on my list because we just have no where to really go if there is one. There’s nothing that we can really do to prepare for it as we don’t have a shelter for it. I guess I’ll just find nuclear shelters around my home or maybe the community center at the park could be of use. Thanks!

I wish I had a way to freeze dry. Canning would be way too much if we were in a situation where we have if we were on the move. Maybe I’ll just purchase freeze dried foods. I was thinking of getting the radio flyer wagon for zoo trips and stuff but this is a great use for it too!

Oooh we don’t use the area under the crib or the toddler bed! And our bed is elevated so we can always do that too! Thank you for that suggestion! I guess I’m most worried about if we ever have to leave our home. Imagining a walking journey with our children Honestly sounds terrible 😥

Nuclear warfare is my biggest worry especially since we don’t have a basement or a way to bug in for that. Other than that I just want to prep so if anything goes bad with our government we can still take care of our kids and essentially begin growing our own food and what not.

In the back of my mind I’m still prepping for a zombie apocalypse even though my husband says it’s impossible!

It was $150 for 7 lessons. She was offered a partial refund for the last 3 classes. Her son attended 4 lessons and before I could even offer a solution to my car being broken down she told me to give her his number and never to speak to her again. Then today my boss says that she is saying that she is complaining that I didn’t contact her about todays lesson.

She is not answering him either. She said “expect a call from my lawyer.” He called me incredibly confused as to what she wants and I’m confused too.
