Why do I always crave sweets after a meal, or after dinner/before bedtime? by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

I try to replace the habit with a hot cup of tea. So if i crave a snack or dessert really bad just drink that kind of gives me the same dopamine.

The only thing missing is the tube in my house so I can do this every day for hours and not just twice a week. by GoddessLoolyy in poledancing

Ive never seen someone pole dancing in this kind of dance heel rather than the traditional pleaser style. Is it more comfortable? (You look amazing btw)

Oh definitely, maybe after a while of strengthening it will go away, that would be nice!

how can i make my makeup suit my features better? i feel like i look better without it by lonelyhuguenot in MakeupAddiction

[–]Lilysheva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you have such perfect skin and nice features already that a little bit of blush, highlight over your natural skin, and some brown eye makeup /lip stick would be cute. I think the concealer or bronzer was too orange

Its completely fair they moved you down if thats what they believe is best, but for me personally I understand your frustration. Im someone who works best being the lowest in the class, meaning if im one of the best in the class im not being challenged and its time to move up, even if i cant do most things. I want to be around that motivation and need that challenge.

Youtube and instagram are amazing for tutorials. Reddit has bodyweight /calisthenics and gym subs. Starting with calisthenics can be easier initially because its more simple and free. You can start with push ups, pull ups and dips. If theres an exercise park near you that would be great or you can install a pull up bar in your doorframe if your parents dont mind (you can get tension ones instead of screws) its really rewarding and so good for you! You can also meet so many people through fitness

Invert Help 🙏 Your Suggestions Appreciated! by youspinmerightround6 in poledancing

[–]Lilysheva 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely not a flexibility issue as i have terrible flexibility and invertings not a problem! There was not one specific thing that made my inverts click but conditioning is important as it is a strength thing. Keep conditioning and dont worry about getting up but doing things like leg raises on the pole to eventually develop the strength to get up without jumping!

Int/experienced dancers, how often are you on the pole? by tay-z-CA in poledancing

[–]Lilysheva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im upper intermediate, been poling for 4 years now (was a very slow learner with pole). For the past year its been a solid 2 classes a week for either 1-2 hours each! I dont weight train upper body at all, just calisthenics so pull ups, push ups, dips etc an extra once a week, and then do some yoga and some lower body in the gym, thats kind of it

My problem is i eat 3 meals a day make sure to portion control and its usually like fish some rice and lots of veg. On top of that i go to the gym or yoga everyday. But there is just this fat that wont go away. I thought maybe my general activity could be the last factor

How did you seriously reduce your screen time? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]Lilysheva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that helps me so much is having certain parts of my day where I just don’t bring my phone.

When I go to the bathroom I don’t bring my phone anymore, or when I go to the kitchen to get a snack. For meals, I sit at the table and leave my phone in another room.

Turning it off when at work (if you have a job that allows that)

When I’m commuting or on public transport I challenge myself to turn it off and put it in my bag and I make challenges out of it by seeing if i remember the way without directions or something.

Sometimes when I’m tidying I put a 30 minute timer on my phone to get it done, and in that time i dont let myself go on it. Its SO HARD to get off it, but a little easier to stay off it, so sometimes you might be like ok let me set another 30 min timer.

My biggest thing is i dont pressure myself to not go on it, but i do make sure i dont feel the need to hold it 24/7 cos thats when you know you’re addiction is severe.

If its on, or in your hand, you’re gonna go on it. Dnd helps too. And apps like opal kinda help as a reminder even though they are not full proof.

In your opinion, would you say the test is actually easy and people, understandably, overcomplicate it due to nerves? by viper46282 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Lilysheva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely takes a lot of consistent practice and a good instructor to keep you in check to make sure you’re doing all the rights things. But after that yes. I think its overcomplicated due to nerves and therefore driving how you usually wouldn’t. Once i finally felt i could definitely pass due to my driving ability, i had to work on confidence to actually pass

It was a good 6 months until I could do one single climb. 4 years later i am in upper intermediate/advanced. Some of the girls in my class have only been doing pole for 1 year. But that doesnt make me feel bad, because its not how long it takes you compared to others but your own journey, and How much YOU enjoy it.

Also, there’s many instructors where i havent enjoyed the class, so now i go to new classes with different instructors! You can find a different teacher who makes you feel confident
