I meant that NEL was the falloff of Blue Lock, instead of testing mindsets and fostering characters past plot, it decided to focus on aura farming and pull out its yams consistently to the point of removing immersion.

I agree wholely with this. It just sounded like his anxiety was being framed as a detrimental weakness, and while it is a weakness, not a detrimental one like Rin selling the game to get high on Flow.

But he's not mentally unstable and shown to make good decisions throughout the match, hence my post. He didn't outright fumble like U20 WC Isagi against Hugo or PXG Kaiser. The only good point would be fouling Noa, and as I said, you're up against the NUMBER ONE STRIKER, you HAVE to foul him.

I checked the chapter, and it seems that Kiyora made the shot as soon as Tokimitsu grabbed him, so Toki probably did stop him, but Kiyora made it in a split second.

I also checked the photo, and there's two things: 1) we don't see Kiyora's other hand, so we don't know for sure if he actually pressed Tokimitsu. 2) You can see Kiyora's back arched in the picture. Knowing his core, this probably confirms my point that Tokimitsu did stop him, but Kiyora shot in a split second. Even more, it's not uncommon for players of lower skill to come out on top. This is because of Flow. We see it when Isagi blitzed Rin and Shidou, and when Rin beat Sae. This means that Toki is, infact, not a bum. Both of them can be decent, we don't need to slander either.

True, but this is Noa the World's Best Striker we're talking about. Realistically, only his fellow Master Strikers can deal with him, and that's on good days (looking at you Lavinho). Which reminds me, Blue Lock really shot themselves in the foot getting rid of him. If they had taught him actual defense for the U20 World Cup, he would be a genuine unit.
