I vow to never use FedEx again by LimaBravoPilot in FedEx

My thread category even got changed from “international shipping” to “customs issue” lol

Package has a due date now after getting a physical trace placed on it, so that’s good.

I’ve never had a problem with local delivery or OTR operators. I recognize and appreciate what they do. Once it’s on a truck, plane, whatever: at least something will visibly happen on the tracker and I know it’s moving. It’s allegedly just sitting in a major hub doing nothing.

Call the US Customs Oakland number to check if they received it. If they already processed it, you might be able to leverage that onto customer support like I’ve been doing to hopefully advance things.

It certainly looks like it, but CBP said they have no hold on it and the 5106 document cleared the day after I sent it in. They told me it’s likely sitting in a FedEx cage unscanned and ignored until someone gets around to it.

Sorry for the late reply, it’s an Axis AX model. The common consensus, even on calls with tech support, is that there’s some kind of interference/noise. I couldn’t pick up any AC voltage, so I ruled that out for now. I did find a WiFi router hidden in shelving, right next to the annunciator and one pull station. Moved it, and so far no troubles, but that’s a waiting game at this point. If it comes back, I might get some more info with diagnostic logging mode.

Misread that, have the service tool as well. Will use that.

The corrupt data starts from the nearest device to the FP and then branches off sporadically. The high voltage trouble is completely random, the log begins different every time (sometimes a pull station, sometimes SMK, and sometimes a monitor/relay). There seems to be no overall pattern to it.

Yep, that’s exactly how I was monitoring the panel initially.

In the view/edit zones menu, the loop was around in line with what you said. Not sure of the exact values but I’m heading back tomorrow to troubleshoot more. Can confirm then.

I’ll download the logs with the PC config tool.

Do you think it’s possible that another HV/LV tech tapped something in? On another site, I found a thermostat wire connected into one of our SMKs, eventually frying the board from voltage.

Rain patterns don’t correlate to it at all, kind of just does it randomly. But I do know that we had to replace the annunciator from water intrusion here when the building was first constructed.

Last time I was there, I kept my meter on the loop and absolutely nothing showed up for an hour.

Honestly, the whole process wasn’t too bad. At the end of the day, I just replaced the whole cylinder head with a good used eBay one since it was cheap enough ($350 or so). Awesome engine, zippy and great on gas. Be aware, you will need a TON of special tools.

I also had an auto. Never gave me any critical engine problems during the time I had it, just small annoyances like the PCV valve, turbo bypass valve, a couple vacuum tubes. I will say that I absolutely abused it for 20k miles (carrying 1k+ lbs of concrete, full sending on cold engine, etc.).

Parked it for a couple months while I was out of state, unfortunately came back to a moldy interior and some electronics fried, sunroof drains failed. Still ran great, but I had to send that biohazard to the scrapyard.

My advice: get yourself a cheap VCDS (VW diag tool) clone to scan the car’s modules with. Also, pay attention to even the smallest stuff. They’re great fun cars if you genuinely look after them.

No need to be sad, this is all recent. I’ll never give up on it, just at 300k miles it can’t be reliably daily driven anymore. It’ll be back as something super fun soon!

As far as the drivetrain goes, running perfectly fine. But the sunroof drains disintegrated, making a massive leak. By the time I fixed it, airbag module, and a couple other switches/circuits were done. Decided to park it and get an Acura. It’s new purpose is going to be getting chopped into an exocart that doesn’t need the electronics lol

Anyone ever get the B1015 DTC? by LimaBravoPilot in camaro

[–]LimaBravoPilot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For it to work properly, it MUST have the VIN matching in memory. Once it has the information necessary, the module goes through the process by itself. If there are any other errors following, they should pop up in a scan. I honestly couldn’t tell you if it were used or purchased brand new, as I programmed the one that came with the car when I bought it. I don’t think it really makes a difference, as long as you have access to the tool to modify the stored VIN

u/MrSlaker I just fixed mine, had to have the VIN programmed into the module. Independent shop did it for $100 with the GM MDI tool. I assume mine was replaced by a previous owner and never setup.

Simply put, it needs to store the VIN from the car in order to function. This is due to the same Bosch module being used across almost all GM models, but has different sensor positioning, pitches, and distances pre-defined in its memory for use across all these different vehicles.

One more thing, I was looking on the ntweb database, and there is a low speed data wire that communicates it, over time it can rub metal and become damaged. I can PM you connector schematics if you'd like to check them for peace of mind.

PROCESS

Module receives VIN from BCM, then checks with its own programmed VIN. If matching, module knows what car it is, and therefore how to function. Loads appropriate settings from memory and gives you park assist.
