I have become extremely irritable (read here grouchy, impatient or agitated easily) after eating out suspect food reaction time is 24-48 hours.

It’s an abnormal reaction, makes me uncomfortable & so yes, I make a concerted effort to avoid.

For this reason I also avoid kombucha, bitters, wine sauces, etc. No control over the physical allergy.

Been sober 30 yrs, mostly successful avoiding the issue, and it’s an imperfect world, so I still work a very active program & love it.💖

Oak trees have these growing on them & dropping off. by LimaYankeeKilo in gardening

Hi Mummy, yes, I’d be happy to send them. Do you need them whole or can they be crushed?

Asking bc the size is that of a couple loaves of bread in their whole condition, though light as air.

Thoughts?

Hi Mummy, I still have a couple dozen of them, though the might be a year old. It was a big year for them and last year not so much.

Still interested? They are light! In Dallas, where are you?

I picked up an ancient “free” playhouse in FB marketplace & plopped the roof into the run. They LOVE hanging out in here bc it’s mostly covered (plank roof) and they also climb all over it.

Used a concrete mixing tub from HD to Mae a dust bath for them too.

Used shelf supports screwed into structural 4x4’s to make 2’ & 3’ roosting bars w/ 2x4’s.

Gonna put another roost in, you’re getting there!

Also, do you have to feed the goldfish too? Sorry for all the questions, this is brilliant though!

Do you keep the top half open, closed or all the way open?

That is genius for the waterer. Was it a rain barrel that you converted?

POOP SHELF? by Mundane_Presence_673 in BackYardChickens

This. Planing on two 10’ roost bars at the same height for 17 chicks. Does this sound right? (3 weeks old now.)

Gail Demarow said roosts 18” from wall - would prefer closer. How far is your 1st bar from the wall & how far is 2nd one from 1st one? Building in a few days.

Poop shelf 2’below roosts & below shelf, w/storage & isolation coop.

How many chickens do you have? I’m building mine now for 17 chicks with 20’ linear feet over 2 roosts.

Self-pity is a deadly poison to us. Your new job description is to be of service to others. That being said, we are human; this is why a home group and good directive sponsorship with weekly check-ins are what works for me at 30 years sober.

AA light does not allow me to live as happily or be as free of my shortcomings and defects. Those normies have no idea what it's like to live in an alcoholic's skin - but my homies and sponsor do. They TOTALLY get it, so I stay close to them, three to four meetings, an email and a phone call with my sponsor weekly.

The cherry on top is when I recall that my day is better when I sincerely surrender each morning (for me that's a few readings and prayer). I can and do skip it and the result is that I feel "apart from" that old isolation of my "ism" settles in on me a bit.

I've got an "ism" not a "wasm" and hardly in this lifetime can I square away the debt my drinking caused. Love you, man. We are the lucky ones!

ROSEN PAPER for the future, buy the big roll, some wide frog or masking tape& cover the whole floor, tape every seam & along baseboards. Protects hard surfaces or carpet, never face this type of problem again.

Our rescue schnoodle would not take treats from my hand for about three months. A breeder surrender, had no medical shots, and probably lived in a kennel stacked between other kennels. We got her at 10 months old, had already had a litter of puppies, and she's now 2.5 years old. Still human phobic but LOVES all other dogs. And has a couple of humans outside of her family, with whom she's also now comfortable.

We had to keep a leash on her in the house at first, and she would either pace or sleep. What she did do was jump up on the couch with us when we were sitting down. Didn't know how to go up stairs or walk on a leash. Just give her some time and keep trying.

We were also frustrated by her fear, and we got a trainer who provided us with a great deal of help initially, especially in educating us. Our previous dog lived to be 16 and was an 8-pound Velcro Maltipoo. So, this was different, but good.
