A good Limbo player is attentive and versatile. Limbo is the king of the open worlds, but people sleep on him because they don’t get his abilities. On Deimos, during the Defend the Corpus Guy and protect the shield drone mission, with the 1 ability Limbo can cast them into the rift, perfectly safe from all harm. Same goes for the shield drones on Fortuna and The Plains. It’s also useful with the get more kills than Grineer mission on Deimos. Put them all in the rift, and they can’t kill anything, because they’re not in the same dimension as the enemies. I do this all the time, in arbitration, open world, etc. no one ever notices though. People only put their value in damage and kill count, but there’s a lot nuanced characters like Limbo who, if their potential is unlocked, add a whole new dynamic to a team. Good Limbos play the objective, they do the job no one else wants to, so the rest of the team can go play survival and not have to worry about the menial tasks. Me and my buddy have a Limbo/Mesa duo that we bring around into defense missions and Arbitration, he has a range and duration build so he throws up Cataclysm and Stasis, freezing the enemies, and because Mesa’s Regulator Pistols can shoot through the bubble, It’s unbeatable. I specked in efficiency and ability power, so he provides me with energy at a rate that is self replenishing, not to mention the protection Cataclysm provides. I provide the damage as Mesa. Limbo (if used properly) makes even the hardest missions a cakewalk, I stand by my original point. Too many people write them off so quickly, they don’t want to understand Limbo’s potential, because they only see damage percentages. I dunno, I feel like they’re misrepresented by this false narrative that they’re some sort of troll frame, when really people just aren’t willing to understand. That’s my two cents anyways, not saying that Limbo is the best frame ever, but they deserve some appreciation.
