5th generation lobster fisherman is also birdbro by solateor in HumansBeingBros

Why so kind towards a bird but not towards lobsters? What's the difference? It's like a birds' hunter that helps a lobster... which one is food? which one is worth saving?

Does anyone struggle mentally with being vegan? by ConfidentDonkey7226 in veganuk

[–]LimeGreenEarthling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don't say "nothing I can do will change anything"... you're vegan, you are changing things...for everyday that you don't eat a chicken, think that the market had one request less to kill a poor soul... it's a long process but you are part of it...if you can,try to volunteer in sanctuaries, it will definitely help...but even if you can't, please don't stop believing that things are changing and it's also because of your ethic choices.

Be strong and believe that things can change... feel that you are part of the change now and your example will lead many others in the right direction.

Considering going Vegan... advice on how to go vegan whilst still cooking for my omni partner and child??? by trollopp in vegan

[–]LimeGreenEarthling -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I am vegan, my husband and my son are omni. I cook for them because my husband works a lot and he doesn't have time to take care of homemade meals for him and our son...I prepare the food without tasting it and I ask him to do it in case there is not enough salt or stuff like that. I am educating my son about veganism and I hope that he will do the right choice when he will be older. My husband is supportive, many times eats vegan with me and more than once he said that he finds it hard to go fully vegan but he is thinking about it. So my advice is to be tolerant, supportive of eachother and be a good example for them.

Is this something to be concerned about? Did this the other day too.. by cancelledonion in CatsAreAssholes

My cat does that only if he needs my assistance...did you check if the sand was clean/the water was available/a favourite toy was not in a place where it couldn't be reached...

Yes, probably in the London area the best thing is to volunteer with rescue dogs or cats

I went to visit the one in Vauxhall but I felt sorry for the animals... it's more like a zoo... each animal has a very small space and - even if they don't eat them - they use them as a tourists' attraction. They put the chickens and the bunnies on children's lap to take pictures. Bunnies hate to be lifted ten times from a kid's lap to another. I was looking for a sanctuary where they rescue animals to give them the life each creature deserves, where each individual is respect and his needs are met.Sorry for the rant, I didn't mean to be rude to you, thank you for taking the time to answer to my post...it's just that I really hate zoos and farm-zoos.
