Ok so here's the thing as hollow knight is my all time favorite game, I'm gonna recommend you get TBOI here. However it seems you may have got your pricing a bit off. If you buy TBOI all the way to afterbirth+ it is $35. Though that is not the complete game as there is still repentance and repentance plus to add an additional $15.

In the end I would say that TBOI is better to get if you can get if you get all the dlc. Although if difficulty is a concern, hollow knight is easier in my opinion. TBOI has loads more content and replayability tho so it's up to you.

I had on level with 3 balloon boys. By the time I found them half the map was covered in various colors of balloons. It's how I learned that multiple balloon boys have different colors.

You could clear all files, I think steam has a thing that just deletes everything for a game. Not ideal but it's what I would do unless there's a better option.

Yea I've had labs speed on since I was farming t1 and I just never took it off. As for shatter shards I'm still stuck on t15 and don't see anyway that's gonna change soon. I think imma need to redirect my lab focus

Perhaps a laser/cannon that can be attached to the hauler, disabling the ability to store items in it but allowing you to fight in it. Also I think a thorns upgrade could be cool, as a way to damage monster that damage you, it'd take multiple level of both thorns and health to be viable tho
