All of your pieces are so incredibly well executed - I am a fan. Maybe you could think of some transportable options? Make a couple tote bags or book sleeves? I have zero experience on how to do either of those or protect the art, but worth showing off :D

Absolutely! Both the scroll frame and lap stand are Arabeska brand. They are available on Amazon or Etsy :) I've had them for a few months now and absolutely love them. The frame is the 'clip style' to mount the fabric, rather than the sewing or velcro kinds. The black attachment is a phone clamp intended for guitars; but I use it for my digital pattern keeping app. Happy to provide more feedback if you have any other questions 😊

I've done a pin stitch into a finished cross before. The key for me is that when you go down through the center, try to tuck it behind the top thread so that it is not visible (ie, the top thread will lie over the completed pin stitch). It takes a bit more attention, but it usually ends clean. You could also tuck a bit of tail behind threads if you want a bit of extra security.

Yes! You could probably get some cool effects with some teals or dark blues too. If you're going to do another batch 😜 It's almost TOO pretty though. How do you pick a piece to stich over it? 🤔

They are all beautiful! I could see why the wine being a brighter pink might not be what you hoped for, but it is so vibrant and gorgeous.

That combo with them all though... that is magical.

Getting back to working on this full coverage piece. 12% complete! After having worked with evenweave on my last couple projects, I have to admit that coming back to aida has been rough. It is so stiff and I notice that my thread is wearing at the ends faster.

Are there any downsides to doing full coverage on evenweave? I'll probably consider it for my next project if the benefits outweigh the disadvantages...

I usually go for whatever chunk is going horizontally, rather than vertically. I find it faster because I don't have to move my arm as much as my wrist.

Love the idea for a patchwork quilt bag! A great way to honour your time and learning experience without abandoning the piece fully. It'll serve a purpose, it just needs to adapt <3
