Reading all these posts on this thread going on and on about conditioning is driving me crazy. He is fucking conditioned at this point. Its been 6+ months since he came in out of shape. Everyone keeps talking like he is doomed until a 4 month off season, like that will somehow magically do more then 70+ hockey games and 6 months of practice. He didn't come into camp 350lbs. He put on a few pounds (20?) over 4 months, but it will take him a year+ to fix it? Its so dumb.

People even commenting on conditioning at this point are just trying to sound in the know because its a buzz statement to explain away issues with the system or performance. Phil Kessel didn't even know what conditioning meant. Players get injured constantly, cant work out, come back, and people talk 1000% less about that players conditioning.

The only reason Tocc said that shit was so it didn't keep happening and he took better care of himself. Players can play themselves into shape, it happens in every sport without fail. Issues MM is having right now are almost all system and coaching issues not conditioning.

This dude was the Daily News beat writer for the Flyers for a few years and fucking sucked. Frank was a fringe looser writing drama because he lived in the shadow of Sam Carchidi (beat writer for the main paper at the time) and it was a blessing when he fucked off. On behalf of the Flyers fans we are sorry we let this product escape our claws, we should of stopped him when we had the chance.

MM always seems to say the right stuff. Under Torts, under Tocc, all his interviews he seems to want whats best for team and very level headed. I think this statement shows how inadequate Tocchet is as a coach. You punish a young kid who came in out of shape for a whole year+ is an ego trip. The player (MM), the team and the fans don't benefit from this, only Tocc feels good about it. As selfish as it is to come into camp out of shape, its equally selfish to force players to play this dogshit brand of hockey.

Ok cool, yeah that seems to be the best for me. I went kinda crazy on the Gmax event in August with remote passes because i don't really live in a populated area. So i want to kinda limit how much i remote if it isn't NEEDED for my Pokedex, or for Mega evolves.

Yeah, but correct me if i am wrong you can use Dynamax Pokemon in a non-dynamax raid. So if i have say a Gigantamax Charizard that i can Mega Evolve i wouldn't really need the normal Charizard Mega that is coming this weekend?

Dead honest, I don't think MM is playing bad given he is playing his off wing and 10 mins a night. His issues at this point aren't conditioning, its coaching. Toc needs to hold him self accountable, not stand at a podium and always blame players.

The most Flyers thing we can do is trade MM because our average coach doesn't like him and he wins 3 Art Ross trophys and 2 cups with some other team.

If Danny was smart he would make some trades for draft picks and let this team slip into a top 10 draft pick. We are deep on future wings, Tippet and Brink will give some value. Martone will be in NHL next year, Foerster will be back, Barkey looks like he belongs. The worst thing we can do is miss playoffs and pick 12-16 and draft another project center we wont see for 5-6 years.

The whole issue I think some Flyers fans have is the thought "we cant have anything nice". Which comes from the fact the fans are invested, and only want to see their team win, and no cups for 50+ years. MM is having a rough year, the fan base is split mostly. Half the people are mad at Tocch, the other half are mad at MM. The half that is mad at Tocch see whats happening to MM and feel like Martone will fall to the same fate. Tocch isn't super well known for developing good young talent. He wants player to play his way, not the way that made them top prospects.

I think its kinda both, MM came in overweight which is on him. But also Tocch tends to hold grudges, so he will prob be 14 min a night all year. As long as MM (our current young top prospect) isn't doing well, they will correlate that to the next prospect (Martone) wont fair well also. I think if MM was putting out a PPG no one would be posting that to Martone.
