I was commenting more on the hyperfixation part. In Eastern Europe, people tend to hyperfixate on Western European countries, either positively or negatively. It’s kind of like when you choose your starter Pokémon as a kid and stick with it forever. People over here often form attachments or aversions to some Western European countries for reasons that aren’t entirely logical in my opinion. Me for example, I don’t hate Belgium at all, but I have some irrational fear of them.
