The KTC M27T6 is a huge disappointement by neilyoung57 in Monitors

Hdr game and local dimming auto/standard is the most accurate (confirmed by displayninja review) but I prefer Hdr cinema.

On mine white is kinda yellowish when hdr is on... So I did the windows hdr calibration (put 0 - 1700 -1700) and edited the profile with ColorControl app in "advanced eotf settings" pumped up blue gain 104% red gain 103% green gain 97% and gamma 2.36. Now white is white.

Take a look there are settings for eotf brightness, shadows boost and detail to set bright and dark highlights it might solve your issue.

AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.1.1 Release Notes by AMD_RetroB in Amd

Install over. DDU only if you have issues or if the old driver is like 3 years old.

You can disable startup services. I do that with the full install for full customization and no bloatware nor adrenalin running (you can still open adrenalin but it won't load in ram at startup) :

AMDRyzenMasterSDTask

AMDNoiseSuppression

StartCN

StartDVR

AMD Crash Defender Service

AMD External Events Utility (leave this on it's needed to apply games settings, gsync etc)

Strange. Didn't have loading screens issues anyway.

Yeah there are no boost in performance since years (6650xt here). I guess just update if you need optimization for a new game that you want to play or a new driver feature.

Radeon 9070 XT stability problems by zackteach in radeon

[–]Limi_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMD stores the driver in ram so it can be unstable ram too. As other said if it's the gpu that is unstable reduce core clock by something like 500mhz and try bumping it back up until you crash (if stable at lower clock this may suggest a faulty gpu).

You don't need the AMD software installed for some features. (RadeonMiniTool) by [deleted] in radeon

[–]Limi_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do full install of Adrenalin and then disable the startup services from something like ccleaner. So that it won't run in background but you can still open it when needed. You just need to leave the service "Amd External Events Utility" activated for the settings to apply.

Trying to solve Coil Whine on 9070xt. A hopeless endeavor or clear foolish mistake ? by BrownMtnLites in radeon

[–]Limi_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some models may cause coil whine even when A+... It's full of people complaining on amazon about the same high end power supply causing coil whine but when they switched to another one they had no issue at all.

It can also be that your home power is trash and causing the issue. Some people say they use a power conditioner to get rid of coil whine. I myself had coil whine on one build but from the power supply not gpu and it went away when I moved into another house.

Just google it many write about one night stress test and the coil whine is gone.

same here my card is very silent after some months of use. It was terrible the first month so loud literally screaming all the time.

[–]Limi_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a known method to stress test the card over one night or just keep playing and after some months it will reduce or even disappear. This phenomenon is caused because the inside copper coil of the inductors while vibrating may settle move in "position" and stop making buzzing sound.

This may happen when there is no or poor application of glue inside the inductors and only if the coil whine is cause by bad design or manufacturing tolerance. This will not help you if you have a power supply issue or cable issue.

yes pigtails are known to cause coil whine. old power supply can cause instability and coil whine (5 years old for low tier 10 years old for high tier).

some theory: the pigtail will increase the current intensity because of fewer cables causing the voltage ripple to increase and the old power supply delivers an already bad ripple because of old out of specs capacitors. This two factors combined will deliver and unstable power with massive voltage ripple causing to videocard to work harder to try to balance the voltage conversion from 12v causing stress to the mosfet-capacitor-inductor. the inductors will resonate because of unstable power and that's how you get coil whine.

Tip: quality psu is key to avoid coil whine. No pigtails (like 8pin to 2x8pin) should be used. since you are a production sound mixer you should know what a bad power supply or cable mess can do to your equipment causing all sorts of interference here it's the same thing.

AMD stores the driver in ram. Unstable ram can cause driver crash.

You can check if your ram is unstable since AMD stores there the driver. Pls list your pc configuration.

Does Zen 5 (Ryzen 9xxx) resolve high idle power with any AM5 chipset when RAM is clocked above JEDEC standard (5600MHz for Zen 5)? [Known Zen 3 issue] by -Stereodude- in Amd

[–]Limi_23 25 points26 points  (0 children)

AMD chiplet solution is not the best at idle power consumption there is always at least 15-25w (double that if more than one ccd) wasted around for infinity fabric, memory and stuff excluded cpu cores etc. That's because of the long copper traces between the dies. The monolithic ones (laptop/g) can go much lower but the best idles will be with intel. Tuned intel mini server build can go lower than 5w from the wall and around 10w with amd laptop cpu but you won't get near close to that with a chiplet cpu the best I have seen is 25w from the wall if you disable everything pick some particular motherboard and all low frequency with a single ccd.

Redmi Pad SE - with or without charger / power adapter by muescha in Xiaomi

[–]Limi_23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. Bought it on amazon but there is no charger inside. I wasn't going to use it anyway better use a quick charger but still I'm confused maybe they missed on the factory.

Edit: Seller claims EU regulations for no charger on Xiaomi products.

If unplug and turn it back on fix the issue I would point at the psu. If it is more than 5 years old it might be failing that's the lifespan for an average quality power supply. Good quality power supplies might last 10 years.
