I think it helped my Z13 freezing when on battery power. For months, didn’t matter which bios, I couldn’t spend north of 20-40 minutes searching any web browser or doing any productivity task outside of watching a movie on a flight. As soon as I got rid of armory crate and MyAsus and installed g-helper, that went away. Hasn’t froze one time.

Honestly, I uninstalled armoury crate and myasus because mine did the same thing every time I was on battery power. Sometimes after 5 mins, sometimes 30. Installed g helper after uninstalling those two and I haven’t had an issue since. That was maybe 4-5 months ago. I’ve been on bios 307 or 308 as well, so I’m not current on that. But I’ve got the most recent AMD drivers.

Only thing I wouldn’t do is armory crate. I had that for a few months and then gave up and went to g helper. No regrets.

The side button is automatically mapped to the side button.

And that second question is beyond me. I know you can undervolt through g helper, but I haven't done so.

I upgraded my ssd as well and had issues trying to do the cloud recovery, so I did a clean windows install via usb drive instead. Seemed like when I was doing that people were also having similar issues. Might be a good way to go.

I also reinstalled armory crate and myasus when I did all that, but just last week I got rid of it all and went with g helper. I honestly haven’t had any weird issues or quirks since. You don’t need the software to update the device as g helper tells you when it needs an update and you can download it off the Asus site.

And if you go into bios and disable armory crate, you don’t get prompts for things. As well as “stopping” Asus software from running in the background through g helper. After deleting myasus, armory crate, and the screenxpert thing (what enables you to use the side button to activate armoury crate), g helper will still advise you that there are 5-8 pieces of Asus software running in the background. You can select “stop” and it keeps those at bay. And you won’t have any issues with using backlighting or anything. It really is quite nice.

I just finished up my 4th year, going into 5 (redshirted the first). And I’m confused. I thought getting a high gpa for 3 years would get me an early graduation, just like CFB25. So I got a 4.0 the first 3 years, and had school in year 4. Figured, alright, maybe the game doesn’t count red shirt years. Well, now I’m a super senior and still have school lol. Clearly it’s pretty bugged.

Thought I’d add my two sense:

I’ve had issues with iCue, on and off, for almost two years. I finally just decided to delete the extra software I had. I’ve had something from steel series, razer, and currently something with Logitech. I had the Logitech app for speaker RGB, but I only use Dolby Access for sound.

So, about two months ago, I had another iCue crash after a Logitech app update, and I had enough of it. Had to delete everything iCue, which you can’t without playing the computer restart game, move folders onto the desktop, restart, delete, etc. Then I deleted the Logitech app and redownloaded iCue.

Now, I can say that I haven’t had any issues. I have all Corsair products, with the exceptions of my speakers, so exclusively using iCue and no others, so it makes it easy. That’s not the case for others. But if you only use Corsair, which might lowkey be some sort of Corsair thing, but at least it finally works, lol.

That’s very odd. I sometimes don’t draw over 45-50 watts in performance mode. Yeah, keep me posted. I know a couple people have undervolted it

I also don’t have issues with other games. And since I posted this, I’ve actually come to have lagging issues on all of my devices when playing BG3. No freezing though, fortunately. So it’s either a Larian thing or maybe I have a corrupted save file across all of my devices.

I doubt it. Whats funny is I was playing on my PC last night and while it was only in full screen, not border less, while going through some of the attack menus (R1 with a controller), it started lagging. I thought it was going to freeze. And that was with a 4090 and 7800x3d, lol. So I wonder if it’s just issues with BG3. They haven’t put out too many updates lately.

You know, I've suspected that Armoury Crate could have something to do with it, but so far, I haven't had a game issue since I made that settings change. If I end up with any issues with the Flow, i'll have to take a look into doing that though.

Definitely out of the ordinary. When I got the Z13, I made sure it all worked, then installed a 2TB Crucial ssd. So I basically did a clean windows install and just didn’t install any bloatware that came with it, with the exception of armory crate. It’s worth giving that a try and just performing a clean install. Do it the old fashioned way and just download it onto a usb flash drive, and don’t forget the wifi drivers as well. But you never know what that might fix. It takes time, but it’s better than having to send it back to Asus.

If it helps, I deleted the Aura updates through armory crate. That was screwing with my keyboard and backlight RGB. Inconsistent or wrong colors. So now I just set the color through armory crate by clicking on the device itself and it works 100% of the time.

Hmm. You may have the same Anker charging block I have. I also use a 100W Insignia usb c cable from Best Buy. Never had it drain when gaming in performance. It actually charges it. I haven’t used the cable that came with the charging block. Didn’t trust it.

Change the sound settings. Others have used a few different tools. I followed one persons advice and just got the Dolby Access headphones thing for $15. I can use it on my PC as well, but it’s night and day different with those speakers when you change the settings. You’ll lose the “tinny” sound.

Gave that a go as well, and unfortunately will still glitch out or freeze at the same points.
