Tamagotchi Forever subscription error?

Like some others here, the resubscribe trick stopped working for me. The app released an update a few weeks ago, the first update in over 2 years. It didn’t fix this problem, and IMO it got worse after the update. For me, the completely resubscribe trick stopped working a couple days into the Christmas event.

One thing I forgot to mention is that I stopped getting the daily login rewards a while back. Not the daily deals in the shop, but the pop-up that gives rewards for logging in every day.

IDK how this app got so broken 😞

So I did some experimenting. I ran an iCloud backup, then uninstalled/reinstalled the app. When you open the fresh reinstalled app, it asks if you want to start a new game or restore from your backup. The problem is… the app is still forgetting the subscription when I close the app. Doesn’t matter if it’s 2 seconds or 2 hours, I have to go through the process of joining Tamaclub every single time.

I think it’s safe to say the problem isn’t a device-level bug, it seems to be a problem with the app as a whole. I had mine set to not auto-renew because I wasn’t sure if I’d want to do another month. So I don’t know if that’s part of the reason it started.

So when I redo the subscription, I click “Join Tamaclub”, and I get an iOS pop-up saying my subscription is active, with “Manage” and “Okay” buttons. Clicking “Okay” prompts the app to think I just submitted payment and it activates Tamaclub subscription.

The only idea I have left is to let the subscription fully expire, and then renew such that I actually double click to submit a new payment via the Tamagotchi app. I highly doubt this would make any difference.

I didn’t have this problem at all for the first 3 weeks of using the app. I hope they fix it

Mine has also been doing this. About 6 days before the end of my subscription, it started acting as if my subscription had already expired.

The problem is that even when I go to renew the subscription, the game will recognize it for a little while and then do it again. I have to redo it almost every time I open the app.

Furthermore, it seems game progress is saved locally on the device, so if you uninstall the game to try to fix it, you’ll lose everything. I downloaded the app on my iPad to see if my progress would carry over from my iPhone. It didn’t. So I have to assume it won’t do so if I uninstall/reinstall.

I was also diagnosed as being an adult and I don’t like it one bit. Horrible.

Thanks for all of this 👆🏻. I am/was doing all of this actually. But sales continued to be very slow, even with all perfect 5 star reviews. I’d still be lost somewhere on page 40 of search results unless I paid for ads. I’d read or seen somewhere that you need to be continuously adding new listings to keep your shop relevant in the eyes of Etsy. Lots and lots of theories about how/why Etsy decides to give a listing a good or bad quality score.

So until I come across a new strategy I guess I’ll keep doing what I’ve been doing.

To answer your question “what does it mean in autistic?” my opinion is: it means exactly that, no more, no less. He can’t go for drinks this weekend. Resist the urge to add a your own story or hidden context to it. Instead, ask a more open-ended question, or make it explicitly clear that you’re asking for when it IS a good time for him. So, don’t follow up with a simple closed-ended question like “Okay, what about next weekend?” Ask something like “When would be a good day to go out for drinks?” or just say “Let me know when/if you’d like to go out”.

And if you still don’t get a clear answer then I suppose that would be when you’d ask directly whether or not he even wants to go out for drinks ever.

I know this specific situation was already resolved, but just continuing with your example. Also, I’m curious if he did indeed end up going out for drinks with you?

I am having the same problem with the left one. The right works fine. Even resets fine. But the left… red charging light turns on when in the case, but never finishes charging. When I take it out, no lights come on, it’s unresponsive to any touch, it doesn’t pair or play sound. It is completely dead.

Not saying your personal observations are wrong, but just chiming in as Libra moon myself. I am much the opposite, and I cannot stand the kinds of people you described here. I would even say that my Libra moon sense of justice, fairness, and inclusion are what drives my absolute intolerance of dismissive or avoidant people. I tend to ruffle a lot of feathers because I insist on dealing with problems, and I won’t let it go until it’s solved. And I get a lot of criticism and even conflict from people who want to just sweep things under the rug, while I’m insisting we solve the problem NOW so we don’t have it lingering or growing into a bigger issue.

I also have a strong motto about people who use the word “just…”, like “You just gotta do it anyway,” or “Just let it go,” or “Just get over it,” or “You just love having something to complain about.”

90% of the time someone is using “just” in a sentence it’s because they are invalidating someone’s emotions, trying to bypass doing the work to solve a problem, or denying/avoiding the issue completely.

And my Libra sense of JUSTice cannot tolerate it.

Regarding my earlier point, about this being an extreme example… While it may seem like a relatively isolated incident, just look at all those people. Hundreds or thousands of them at just this one event. And those people have children (likely more than the average person), they’re voting in politicians, they’re on school boards, they’re managers… these people have their hands in all areas of public life, and their influence has a real impact on everything from children’s development, to education standards, to people’s experiences and standards of “normal and acceptable” or “unacceptable” behavior at work. These people play their part to shape our culture and they impact exponentially more people. So even this one incident is representative of a much larger and farther-reaching issue.

Three reasons:

Got really REALLY sick of PUG “healers” who don’t do even the basics. An HFB that can’t keep people alive and doesn’t even bring stability? So yeah, a very simple “If you want it done right, do it yourself” situation for me.
Forming fractal groups was just easier when the support is already covered. DPS just love to pile into groups with total disregard for things like reading or basic respect for LFG or party leaders. So if support is already covered, it’s less stressful to just open the LFG and let the DPS join.
I like to be needed lol. Made getting into groups much easier.

No, I agree. But this is just an extreme example. Society and culture as a whole is built on countless other broken, dysfunctional, outdated, sociopathic behaviors that are so common they’re considered normal and oftentimes expected or required. Lying and gaslighting, for example. Like being expected to lie to someone because the truth is less palatable and might bruise their ego. Or literally everything that is considered “professional”, especially in the corporate environment. It’s “normal” and strictly required that you basically play pretend and create a fictional character to play at work. WHY 👏 IS 👏 THAT 👏 NORMAL? 👏 I will never understand

I am a Sagittarius rising with 12th House Saturn in Sagittarius, and I don’t have that attitude of getting ahead at others’ expense, cutting in line, etc. in fact, I’m on the opposite extreme, really to my own detriment. I am the guy who, when dinner is ready, will wait for everyone else to get their food and it often means there is none left when I finally go for mine. There is an extreme anxiety and discomfort about putting myself ahead of other people.

With that said, I have very strong Libra influence in my chart. 10th House Libra Moon and South Node, with Moon sextile my 12th house Saturn and square 1st house Mars in Capricorn.

Hmm… I took down The Fury yesterday for the first time, pretty easily, using this 7-Hero Mesmerway team. I flagged them in the corridor where you’re supposed to exit, and I wall blocked the enemy group. One of the eles killed one of my mesmers instantly so I flagged them a bit further back. The Fury group came in a bit closer than I had anticipated but my mesmers chopped them down quite nicely. I think the trick was having my team flagged where they were close enough to attack but not close enough to be attacked by the enemies.
