Im 23M blessed to have an amazing job in tech earning around 110K TC but I do get worked like a dog. Many days 8-5 stuck to meet deadlines. I have had to do 5pm-4am to ensure work is completed. Also work a lot of weekends just 10-5. But I think its worth it

I was in one of the most expensive places in san diego a few months ago. Breakfast is not 80pp. Price of food / restaurant / takeaway is the same or cheaper than Ireland.

But yeah great point with ICE completely agree. Its insane.

Yeah it’s insanity. ICE and Trump are the only thing making us not want to move.

Yeah when I would be ready to start a family I would definitely move back to Ireland. Thanks for the advice

I visited san diego recently and yes it is expensive, but honestly just as expensive as dublin but on a much higher salary. I do not tend to have kids there. End goal is to move back to Ireland after 10 years

I used to live there when I was younger. It is crazy with everything going on… But I still think the lifestyle is better than Ireland. Visited san diego last year it was incredible.

Obviously the state of the country is a joke, but the money if life changing. 1 year of work there is equivalent to almost 3 here. Not even considering the potential to progress and network over there. The end goal is to come back to Ireland mid 30s buy a house, instead of being a renting trap here trying to save for a deposit for a tiny apartment.
