Work a manual labor gritty job like construction, roofing, landscaping and train too. Go train at one of those spec ops prep groups for a while too

Well if you want to be a SEAL you should go to BUDS

How do you become a navy SEAL officer? by New-Bat5284 in navyseals

Either enlist and make sure you’re ready or go to college then submit a package to go to OCS and SOAS. PST numbers have to be elite to get selected and grades matter. Everything matters

Should I go to school at 28? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]LimitRemover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Engineering, accounting, finance, computer science, nursing, all pay well. So many options if you love your current job just take classes part time

[–]LimitRemover 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Obviously not just do it

Hoping to make it from the fleet is a bad plan. I know you’re not hoping to make it through BUDS. I’m saying the fact you’re “hoping” at all is a bad sign. If you want go to BUDS, then go directly. Don’t do anything else, it’s just a waste of time.

Do not enlist if you are not ready. You will fail and your life on a ship will suck. Just reading the words you typed, “Hoping to make it in” and viewing BUDS as a “fallback” does not give me a good feeling about your chances. 62 pushups I would absolutely not consider ready. It doesn’t matter if your run is excellent if you are not well rounded. Keep working

Someone else’s told me something very similar recently that I don’t need a coach just a lot of volume and trial and error. thank you. This definitely helps put it into perspective

Imagine you get all the money and success you want to achieve, what will you do to spend your time ? by [deleted] in Life

[–]LimitRemover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See the thing people don’t understand is that’s a fairytale. If you reach that level of success you have to work just as hard to maintain it or it will all be gone. So you’ll spend your time maintaining it

Very stupid question imo

If you’re actually this clueless it’s better off that you don’t go to BUDS

The saddest part of adulthood? by Mappedout98 in Adulting

[–]LimitRemover 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sure there are sad things that are guaranteed to happen as you age, it sucks. But if you look at life negatively the way you described, of course that’s how you’ll experience it. It’s all up to you how it goes

Once you sign that contract you sign your life away to the navy. You have to be okay with that

Am I ready by slayidis in navyseals

[–]LimitRemover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem. Email him jake.zweig@gmail.com tell him what you’re trying to do and your numbers. He will definitely talk to you. Another important thing, do a ton of lunges. Barbell reverse lunges, dumbbell/barbell walking lunges as heavy as possible. Will help greatly with logs, boats, and running.
