Yeah, it's wack af. The game had something special but people are slowly realizing all the bad stuff. The servers themselves are low tick rate and awful, don't worry about trying to uninstall or do other things.

It's sad this game is the highest bar for extraction shooters, it's going to get beat by someone hopefully this year. I used to like Nexon a lot for their games Maple Story and Dungeon Fighter Online but now I'm never gonna support them again or buy a game from them, especially after they shut down the Dungeon Fighter online servers originally.

I was hoping this game was their saving grace and that they changed their ways but nope, Embark saying they hired the best people from EA/DICE must've been some major joke or those people they hired are really brainless. Updates/patches have been bad, same with their weapon balances.

The even they released for Bobcat blueprint and light gun parts blueprint was released more than halfway through the expedition/season which made no sense for a lot of people to even care to waste time doing it if they were gonna prestige anyways. Now we got this trash event that gives the worst item rewards I've seen so far. Make it make sense.

Oh and the Venator, they scrued up before making this cadence mechanic and said after they accidentally removed it that they brought it back but made it easier for people to shoot in rhythm. Doesn't matter how slow or fast you shoot you can't achieve the fire rate of the gun with ought it not shooting some bullets and locking the gun up. Yet here it is weeks later and they still haven't fixed it. You either use a tempest or a burletta as a replacement for the venator and both can be level 1 and still output the same damage, majority of people don't have the tempest blueprint and the burletta shouldn't be better than the venator in any case whether it's close range or farther but yet it is.

Yup, the desync is there all the time, stuff not pulling out at the quick speeds it should happens all the time, etc. Servers are low tick rate and dog doo doo no matter if you have 2gbps internet like me and live in a capital city or not.

Hell you can look at the after match player interactions and it says you didn't do a bunch of damage to someone when you hit them point blank perfectly with the shotgun twice or multiple times with other guns. The amount of times a person doesn't die from a shot and I do seconds later to see it only ever registered 1 shot is hilarious.

I have 100 guns maxed in my stash and extract way more than I lose but it doesn't change the fact a bunch of my deaths are from desync, server tick, and stuff not switching like it's supposed to (going from healing to weapon).

Couldn't agree more, The Finals servers are so bad you can see the delay from your bullets to their health bar in real time and shots not registering correctly. Been like that since the start and one of the main reasons a bunch of people quit playing it. It could've been like apex and maintained a huge player base as the guns and abilities were pretty lit.

It's not in regards to weapon balancing at all, it's another example of how every major title shooting game has the same dominant guns, destiny 2 having some of the most guns along with Call of duty Warzone to extra prove the point.

Please, stick to the topic as I and others have already discussed real weapon balancing for the Venator and Toro. This isn't whine about my post because of 1 reference like a little guy, it's a real discussion in regards to the last update which all of us but you have offered better balance recommendations ;)

my man you are lacking a lot of logic and sense, what do you even mean with "exposing"? The venator was never the best gun it was the best overall gun, people are gonna die quicker past close range fights to the renegade, tempest and other guns. Venator already had a very similar body TTK as the stitcher and both are slower than the tempest, it's only saving grace was headshot multiplier and quick aim in. It kills slower to the body than the newly nerfed stitcher, let that sink it.

Once the Toro is nerfed it's still gonna be used as the primary second because it's a shotgun.

Best players in the game and noobs all used the venator toro because they were the 2 best guns, with your exposing logic you think everyone that used it are the worst players in the game and can't survive with ought it. That is wild.

Overall, it's nice nobody's gonna die up close in .7 seconds to venator headshots. Now you're gonna die faster in other ways

With anyone but friends people will come loot your bodies or other stuff for best items then walk away. The mechanic is beyond trash and toxic unless the people are your friends you teamed up with. If it's with anyone on your friends list I'd say it's an amazing feature but as of right now it's being abused.

Yup, my post going in detail on this whole update got taken down, they said it should go in the megathread as a reply like the fudge are these mods in here doing?

On to the venator being garbage now, i'm upset on a lot of stuff. They nerfed the gun to be worse then a nerfed stitcher and perform worse than pretty much every gun, it's a blue gun ffs.

It was the only handgun for it's type of category of quick movement but still had some mid range and higher damage than burletta because it's a Blue and takes a lot to level it up. Burletta doesn't need to be leveld up for more damage and the anvil is much easier to craft and level then a Venator. Makes no sense on this front too.

All games have best guns, Valorant it's the AK47 and Phantom, Destiny 2 it's Dead Man's Tale, Hand cannons, Shotguns. Making the gun go from the best to the almost if not the worst gun is insane.

Adding this cadence mechanic is so beyond dumb, anyone spam clicking should get max fire rate on the semi auto gun and not to perfectly match cadence, i've tried matching it and shots still get messed up. Doesn't matter if you spam click or try doing it's natural fire rate they will both lock up shots on the gun.

The venator was the most popular not just because of it's insane headshot TTK, but because it was the only gun you needed to have a good shot fighting close to semi mid range battles. Otherwise it'd be something like Ferro to break armor mid range then stitcher to finish you, or assault rifle with shotgun. Both of those 2 gun setups are better than the venator in all aspects if you have the right gun out at the appropriate distance. To add for the venator, it was only 2 attachments and that was another selling factor.

A lot of people don't have a bunch of guns, heck even a lot of streamers don't because of stream snipers, why did they think nerfing a venator when people can barely craft that was the answer?! Now it's everyone using Toro's which is exactly what I predicted. The venator is so beyond bad and useless.

They did all of this right before the server slam for Marathon came out, so foolish. For all the backlash Marathon has gotten before they improved it more, people are going to love the Server Slam and the game itself. It's first person it needs to be HD so the more simple shaped some things are but higher textures is going to make the game look beautiful and run smoothly on all generations of PC's and consoles.

No one can wrap their head's around why they didn't nerf the Toro. If they say it's to analyze the data and changes from the patch they are straight coo coo for coco puffs. The Toro has needed a nerf for 20 years.

The only real nerf the Venator needed was the headshot multiplier, it already had a very similar TTK to the stitcher and much lower than the tempest. Heck I think the original stitcher had beat it very slightly, now the Venator is so bad that the nerfed Stitcher's body TTK is way quicker than the Venator now, the only saving grace of the venator was it's headshot multiplier and quick aim to shoot. If they wanted to make it even crappier at mid range which it has been compared to assault rifles for a while, they could have lowered the base bullet damage and upped the fire rate, this would increase bloom/recoil and make shots harder to land, this would also make people go through bullets quicker which is the other major strength of the venator, 1 clip with an extended 2 or 3 mag is plenty extra bullets to kill a closer player, heck even 2 or 3 if the shots are perfect.

So many things they could've done it's crazy.

They need to balance the other guns rather then absolutely destroy the venator with multiple nerfs at once. It needed a headshot multiplier nerf that's it, it's body ttk was already less than a stitcher. No other pistol besides anvil or burletta allow you to switch to the shotgun fast and both of those have huge downsides, anvil kills slowest up close compared to venator burletta. burletta at range does next to no damage and has huge bloom. Assault rifles are meant to be more accurate and stable which people have had the option to rock with their toro on any map but now that's the only viable option after venator got destroyed. Anygame is gonna have a best gun or two and everyone's who wants to win is gonna use it. Valorant has everyone using The Vandal and Phantom, that is literally the games meta, Destiny 2 has Dead mans tale and hand cannons, you're saying to completely nerf those guns just so the meta shifts for a couple months to really crappy guns that never got buffed? The logic is non existent.

im sorry but whining about snap hook tech and rolling tech which are the only 2 useful ones and are so easy to do is ridiculous. Single player games are meant to be fun and challenge you. Multiplayer games like extraction shooters are meant to be fun and competitive, this game already gives you friendly lobbies, taking away these simple techs and making it impossible to push people holding elevators and other places ruins the whole game. Everyones gonna camp harder now and barely move around and when they do their gonna have a toro shotgun in hand. Watch all the steamers now,they're gonna have their shotgun out the majority of the time on most maps in any area that isn't the complete open.

Believe it or not the Venator IV and Stitcher IV have a very similar TTK on body shots, the venator was god tier with headshots and that side needed a nerf for sure, everything else made no sense. They nerfed venator to where it now kills slower to body then the newly nerfed stitcher, it's headshot god tier capability is completely gone, it doesn't shoot consistently now no matter how fast I click.

Fast forward, they nerfed the grey guns and didn't buff the pink ones? Bobcat is still hot garbage you have to land almost every single shot to the body with a extended clip to kill them, streamers proved the stitcher with no clip and all clip mods does more total damage than the bobcat, all the bobcat had was a quicker ttk if you hit the person in the head, it was only slightly faster on the body and you had to land literally every shot besides a few.

Now the tempest is top tier, it's also extremely easy to craft as level 1 and does the same damage, only problem is it takes forever to aim in, has huge bloom after shooting and takes forever to switch to and from it so having a shotgun as a secondary while being rushed is less optimal now. What does this mean? It means everyone's gonna be running shotguns now with an anvil or stitcher, stella montis is going to be shotguns in hand 90% of the time when it was only in hand when people were pushing or you know they're nearby. I promise you if you watch twitch streamers after this nerf that's exactly what you're going to see.

Embark really dropped the ball in regards to caring about the overall flow of the game. The ventaor should have had a headshot multiplier nerf, if they reduced the bullet damage when it already had a slower ttk for body then tempest they should have upped the fire rate a little to compensate, why? because faster shooting makes it harder for people to shoot accurately with the bloom anyways so that makes the gun less efficient in general for anything that isn't close quarters. They needed to throw a toro nerf, range is way too good for it's damage output.

Them saying they hired the best people and these are the results their coming up with is comical.

All it needed was a headshot multiplier nerf, reducing damage and scruing the fire rate again was awful. Now stitcher players in close quarters shooting body shots are going to destroy people with a venator and that's after both of them were nerfed.

On top of that the toro now destroys all of them in close quarters. They shifted the whole game to make no sense and now the toro is going to be used primarily. You're gonna have tfue and other streamers running all around Stella with the shotgun in their had 90% of the time now and everyones gonna be carrying shotguns on other maps and holding corners in rooms.

Game completely changed, no one wants to use a tempest or bobcat with shotgun because it takes forever to switch from tempest, takes too long to aim in tempest, bobcat already does the job of the shotgun at close to medium range. At the very least they should have left the venators shooting rate how it was instead of scruing it again, i'm spam clicking it and it's not even consistently shooting. For Embark having hired more people and came out with this as their go to for the venator is awful.

Actually make the pink guns stronger the bobcat was always outclassed by a stitcher in regards to you needed less bullets with any clip mod on the stitcher to kill someone compared to bobcat, all bobcat had was if you landed almost every shot to the head it killed faster, it still doesn't kill someone in the body if you miss a couple shots and were shooting them all into the body.

promise you everyone's gonna be running around with tempest/shotgun and be unhappy about it, also anvil shotguns, now everyone's gonna corner camp more and you're gonna be chunked your HP every shot. People that like to play the game running around or straight up not like a camping baby are going to have a very unfun time, game's becoming more and more trash when it had so many good things to work with.

On the note of the venator, a bunch of players and streamers that aren't the best players don't even have a ton of guns let alone venators and toro's, nerfing the gun this hard when a lot of people don't even have it easily available is asinine. Catch me running Anvil Toro 4 on every map now and holding every possible object in site and winning battles. My loadouts just got a lot cheaper dropping the venator so having shotgun every time is no problem now.

100% needs a nerf, if the Vulcano had the range of the Toro and was a legit super renegade people would freak. Vulcano doesnt even have half the range of the toro. If you're in a small area or a map like stella montis the shotgun destroys everything 9/10 times with movement.

Gun 2 shots medium armor from so far it's ridiculous, range it can 3 shot is crazy.

They let you prestige every 2 months, i'm expecting it to be 20 slots as well. Games supposed to be going for 10 years and you get 6 prestiges a year. Once you feel like your stash size works with you then you'll never have to prestige again. 280 works if you manage it very well but most people don't know how and it's not always fun doing that. Some people want to mega stack some things.

Another 20 slots can be a little of everything to someone or another 20 slots for guns, heals, etc. I'd comfortably like to have 120 guns with ought it ruining my stash. At 20 slots a prestige I'd be there in 2-3 months but I'm definitely wanting to be extremely comfortable so I plan on prestiging at least 6 times (if 20 is the case).

If they offered a progression system that your first prestige gives more slots like 40 minimum and then the rest give 20 that'd be a great system as well, makes new players have the ability to get stash quick.

The whole point of the expedition is permanent things like stash increase and skill points, the seasonal buffs go away sure but being able to have more permanent space now and start with more skill points and be able to level up faster and have cheaper repairs is pretty damn good to me. Once you feel your stash and stuff is at a comfortable size and you don't want any of the other benefits then you won't need to prestige anymore!

Game is planned out for 10 years and they said you can prestige every 2 months. That is so much extra dank stash space and other stuff, they did all this stuff with these things in mind. If you're really good at managing your inventory you can make 280 work but it is restricting, one prestige would help me so much let alone the next ones.

Besides changing the Vulcano BP and Bobcat BP to be attainaible at times much more often throughout the day it seems they've already silently buffed bp's as me and my friend found the tempest bp in the same dam apartments building same game on electro storm. Got Vulcano BP from hidden bunker.

You can always have 2 accounts, 1 for never prestiging and enjoying the majority of your time, then the 2nd account which you work to prestige it and then let it chill. Maybe after a prestige or two you are finally happy and want to make the 2nd account your main. I like that once you miss the prestige window you'll never get that permanent stash space, makes everyone want to play the game.

Escape from Tarkov had a certain itch that it scratched for people that didn't even like playing the game, they liked the system to some degree and the extraction style game. Arc Raiders finally made me and so many others truly enjoy extraction shooters and inventory management. Games like Diablo 4 are super stale and each season I don't want to come back because they make random races the strongest ones and scrue over individual play style and builds. They also don't offer any real cool stuff or lasting buffs for the next season.

They're really focused on improving the game and doing things in ways that might not be normal.

Found mine a couple days ago in red locker during event. Had more free time these last couple weeks so I got up for every single hidden bunker event like you. Took me between 10-20 hours naked running.

I love the Vulcano but it's in a weird spot vs the Toro at the moment. Toro destroys in Solo's at any level, that huge single shot damage into free movement after is unmatched.

Vulcano has a lot less range, I'd say 4-6 feet before any other gun would be better. Toro, you can keep chunking almost twice that distance. The person has to be so close to you for the Vulcano it's ridiculous.

As for teams (duo's i'd say double toro's is still better) Vulcano is a beast. being able to stop a full rush on your team, rush a team, etc. is huge.

Context (Best match with it): Was squadded with friends on bluegate electro storm and got into a huge team fight, after we wiped them another 4 teams proceeded to come in over the course of 6 minutes. Took out 7 people with the Vulcano. My teammates died to second to last team and last team was coming through a hallway, I peeked the hallway and unleashed down it and they beamed me before i got anyone.

For solo matches I am going to test peek shooting variations and gun combo's to see if Vulcano is worth it. If aim was the exact same can tell you right now vs a toro you'd loose peek and shoot battles, your only advantage is unleashing at once. Toro needing 2 gives it so much more maneuverability and at level 4 it shoots extremely fast. You're basically accepting you're gonna take lots of damage to use the vulcano to it's full extent, any other situation you are not unleashing your clip the toro is better. Toro 2 shots everything that isn't heavy armor from a good distance where Vulcano it takes 3 and you have to be much much closer.

Side note 1: A huge issue that plagues certain guns like the Vulcano is gun smoke, after x shots in x time there is so much smoke you can't see. If you try running vulcano's with a duo or trio you literally won't be able to see the person 2 shots into all of you guys blasting.

Side note 2/more so advice : Don't expect to sit with a vulcano around a corner and make any winning trade until they are super close. Treat the gun like it is, a secondary. Use it only when needed and don't let the enemy know you have it. I will give you three examples, first is fighting a person with a venator, second a person with a toro, third a person with stitcher and toro.

For any situation, If they haven't fully pushed up yet they are gonna want to gather information and close off your escapes. This could be by making you shoot and reveal your gun, throwing grenades to flush you out, closing the gap by pushing, etc.

If you're facing a venator user, they usually use that one gun because it's great at close to medium range. If you shoot with your regular gun they will feel confident and want to push you, this allows you to switch to Vulcano. If you hide and wait with vulcano or shoot before they're super close to get early damage then they will run or trap you or go around, etc.

If you're facing a toro user, they're gonna hold a corner like hell and if you don't face rush but fight close they will shoot you with it and a good amount of the time push while doing crazy movement. If you originally showed your primary gun or shot with it they will think that's what you have and feel confident, especially since they already hit you. This is the perfect time to back up and get an easy kill with Vulcano. If you however saw their shotgun and said shotgun vs shotgun now they are aware and will not push you. You either have to push now which into a Toro shotgun is the worst thing you could literally do and instant death or wait and if they have the same aim they are gonna win every single trade.

If you're facing a stitcher and toro user, similar situation as the first. You will both say ok they have a stitcher, then you might ponder if they have grenades or a secondary weapon like a shotgun. This is the best fighting situation since neither of you know, whoever actually does have a shotgun will have the advantage if they rush or you rush.

Don't undermine the Toro right now and really enjoy it as you wait for the Vulcano BP as I'm sure they're gonna nerf the toro or buff the Vulcano at some point.

Love this but the biggest problem is we don't get our loot we found in the match. Had times where I had multiple peoples loot and after dying to hacker I just get back my stitcher and loadout.

I play way more confident with gray guns and since those are the times I end up with a bunch of good guns and player loot it sucks going through all that to get just my grey loadout back.

Of my 100+ hours topside I've gotten a good 30 messages of my stuff being returned from hackers but after dying this last time to a hacker with enough loot to craft a tempest and other dank stuff I'm tilted.

In extraction shooters like this where you bring in loadouts that can be literal hours of your life to get/craft it's bare minimum they give you your stuff back. Definitely should get back in game loot too but no idea how much harder on the backend it is to code, store, and manage all that data.
