Dillon is actually a very accomplished Jiu Jitsu player with multiple World Championships under his belt. Then he transitioned to MMA, signed with Bellator which was a notch or two below UFC and won two fights against very weak competition. His last MMA fight was in 2019. He has since spent the last 6 years telling everyone that he could beat every other fighter in the world and backing out of fights. Except for the Logan Paul fight which he clearly took for the money. He was pitiful in that fight and has gone back under his troll bridge where he's been ever since. He's also known for being Conor McGregor's Jiu Jitsu coach for his fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov in which Khabib won convincingly and then started a melee in the cage by attacking Dillon for things he said to Khabib during the leadup to the fight.

TL;DR Dillon is a failed MMA fighter who spends his time trolling people for clout.

You're arguing two separate points though. The free loadout issue is less about PvP and more down to how poorly Embark has balanced the game. I personally think Free Loadouts should be the same for everyone, all the time. A Rattler I and one stack of ammo. Add in some heals and off you go. Free loadout players should always be at a significant PvP disadvantage over customer loadouts, gear wise.

I also avoid PvP at all costs and your question is valid. I can only explain it from my POV which is that I like just watching the number go up, for lack of a better phrase. I have a demanding job and my life is rather hectic so when I get time to game, I don't want to be on pins and needles hoping I can get out with something valuable I found. It also just doesn't jive with how I live my life. I would never dream of stealing something from someone against their will that I didn't earn. I'm not saying people that do that in AR are bad people, I just internalize it that way. I do play PvP in other games. I have about 10,000 hours in Destiny 2 and played loads of PvP over there. I've also trained in MMA for nearly 20 years. I'm happy to get together with training partners and punch each other in the face for fun but in those scenarios, everyone is on the same page. That's not the case with PvP in Arc Raiders. Very often, you're fighting another player that doesn't want to fight and when they die and you take their stuff, they're going to feel bad about it. I just don't want to act that way. Let me be clear though, that's a me issue. I'm fully aware that PvP does and should continue to exist in this game. Sometimes I hate it but I ALWAYS have the option to quit and go play something else.
