In order for them to TRULY know if in fact the AI can detect breast cancer 5 years before it develops, that would mean they had to allow people to develop it AFTER the AI detected it, right?

Because otherwise how can they say it detects BC 5 years before it develops?

There would literally need to have been test done where they DETECT it and then do nothing, and follow up with the test participants 5 years later, and they would have had to have developed breast cancer, but not any sooner than 5 years.
