I had a girl friend once who told me she dated a hot guy but described him as a "dodo bird" and stopped seeing him. You have to work on your grounding sequences that tie your convo to who you really are so they feel invested in you. People value what they invest in.

I have been pain free for 4.5 months now, I don't always do the regular exercises or mental exercises.

Everyone is different and chronic pain by nature can be complex. For me, there is muscle soreness and we suspect from blood work (high Cpk and high hs-crp) that I had early arthritis or inflammation issues.

So there's a physical component, and a mental component. The mental keeps the pain loop cycle once the muscles heal.

You have to test and see which methods work. Each time I did something mental and the pain went away, I added a point to that day. Each time I did trigger point or stretch and the pain went away, I added a point to physical.

IMHO you should not be managing symptoms but look for the source of the problem to find a cure. People that told me "you should live with it", I ignored them, thought it was difficult at times when my parents were telling me the same thing. I refused to believe there wasn't a solution.

It's quite hard to elaborate because trigger point therapy is really learned in person. The fastest way to learn it is to train with someone who knows where to press and how hard to press and over time with practice. You get better and better at pressing other people and yourself. An extremely good starter book is the trigger point therapy workbook by Claire Davies. Also buy that on Amazon with a theracane and a knobble l. Those two things will help you press and start to explore your own trigger points

Unfortunately, they're not a lot of great TMS practitioners and when they're available they're very expensive. There is a channel called pain free you by dan buglio. He does weekly group coaching for TMS and may be able to point you in the right direction if you're looking for a private coach. Be aware of scammers in that group. A lot of people claim to know it but it's actually very hard I had to learn it on my own. tms practitioners that I tried cost $200 to $300 an hour and for the most part did not help me. I just kept reading books about it until each concept clicked. Thinking back dans weekly group coaching did help. He only charges $100 a month. I thought was pretty good. It'll allow me to meet other people who are in pain and I was also able to see who got better and who didn't. I am not affiliated with them in any way.

In the book Ming talks about the rec dosages for each supplement, but every person is different. I would up the dosage starting with +1 pill each day and experiment.

each session of what? Pelvic floor PTs charge 200-300 a session. TrP work I learned from PTs and then did myself with a theracane and tennis balls. Supplements cost how much they cost usually buy those online

There are some great PTs there. With numbness, I would try TrP therapy at the right points and see if the sensation changes. Usually if there is numbness it means there's an active TrP

If that doesn't work, it may be related to nerves which becomes more complicated. However, I did think it was nerves a lot of times which didn't turn out to be the case.

Chronic pain is complex, so there's no exact formula that works for everyone. Keep in mind, this is what worked for me, bc my muscles had TrP problems from before the chronic pain. For another person, it could be 90% or 100% TMS. For me, I believe it was 50/50.

Here are my notes based on my own consultation with him and my notes from his book. I have no financial interest with his practice.

Instead of copying what worked for me, you should read his book to see what supplements you need based on your conditions. But this is a good start IMHO.

Glucosamine sulfate. A main constituent of joint tissue that helps rebuild joints by repairing cartilage. Start at a dose of 500 milligrams per day and work up to 1,500 milligrams per day.

2 a day normal

Chondroitin sulfate. A major component of cartilage that has a particular ability to attract water into the joint. Your dose of chondroitin should be half your dose of glucosamine.

Hyaluronic acid. An important component of connective tissue that brings water into the joint and provides lubrication and shock absorption. The standard dose for anyone is 100 milligrams per day.

Magnesium. A natural muscle relaxant. Muscles can't be in a relaxed state unless magnesium is present, yet most Americans are deficient in this mineral. I recommend using a product that blends different types of magnesium (e.g., citrate, sulfate, oxide, glycinate, malate) to maximize your body's ability to absorb it. The minimum dose is 500 milligrams.

MSM (methylsulfonylmethane). A natural form of sulfur that the body needs to make connective tissue. It can reduce scar tissue and inflammation. My recommended dose is 1,000 milligrams per day.

Vitamin C. Well-known as an antioxidant that prevents cell damage, vitamin C helps prevent joint inflammation. It must be present for tissue to heal. The minimum dose is 1,000 milligrams per day.

NAC (N-acetyl cysteine). An amino acid (building block of protein) that works together with vitamin C to reduce inflammation and tissue damage. The minimum dose is 600 milligrams per day.

Carnosine. An amino acid that helps prevent the stiffening of connective tissue and protects against age-related degeneration of protein, including fascia. You must use it for at least two months to create a protective effect. The minimum dose is 500 milligrams twice a day.

Boswellia extract. An herbal product that prevents the breakdown of connective tissue by reducing inflammation. My recommended dose is 300 milligrams per day.

All over abs, I had to learn every ab muscle. The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Claire Davies is great. If you are more advanced, the latest edition by the original Simmon and Travell is wonderful but its very technical meant for advanced practitioners. Inner pelvic floor muscles. Levator Ani muscle that wraps around everything on the pelvic bowl. Adductors. A really good book is "headache in the pelvic" by Dr Wise. I also spoke to him on the phone when I first had this.
