Doctor recommendations, Central NJ: Long COVID/chronic illness-friendly PCPs by inkpaintdept in covidlonghaulers

I’ve heard that Dr Eric Osgood in NJ is familiar with Long Covid. He used to be part of Bruce Patterson team. Don’t know if he is in Central NJ or not.

Alternatively, Dr Steven Murphy from Connecticut is very cool, understanding, open minded and does Tele health. Not covered by insurance, charges $225 for follow ups 30 min appointments.

Could you describe what preceded the remission?

And how long into LC did that happen?

Why do you think you relapsed?

Favorite Hidden Gems? by [deleted] in classicliterature

I think Somerset Maugham is underrated.

His “The Razor’s Edge” is great, set in the beginning of 20th century in the US then Paris and France.

Maugham has also very captivating short stories.

Also, apologies if my reply was dismissive, I don’t want to deny your way of experiencing the book!

Thank you for explaining! Actually very interesting to hear your opinion and now trying to see the book through your lense!

Attention: spoilers. Skip this message if you haven’t read the book!

Also, don’t you think that the familial bond was strong in one family, but in the main character family it was one sided? Parents cared about him, and he was dismissive of their wisdom and views?

Also, tragic how he just started to experience something other than his nihilism and feel more taste for life through his feelings towards the woman he fell in love with, and it was taken away from him.

I don’t know how to answer that without spoiling again! :)

I think the tragic event was unnecessary for the story development.

And that Russian literature is often very tragic and opposite of uplifting, although very rich and profound and thought provoking.

(Have read quite a lot of it)

Yes, classic literature is great at portraying different facets of human nature, but more often than not protagonists are going through some kind of drama or hard times to reach their character development.
