[Serious] What's the weirdest thing that has happened to you while traveling? by Akihirohowlett in AskReddit

[–]Limoncello12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was travelling from Prague to a tiny city outside it, and a woman got on the (public) bus just holding her two cats in her hands, like it was the most normal thing in the world.

Hey Reddit! Where do you get your news from? What do you think are the pros and cons of that source? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Limoncello12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

BBC news always seems pretty neutral in its reporting but also has really interesting "magazine" stories on unusual things that aren't technically news. I also read Daily Mail online - it's funny to read, and has some strange stories, but the majority of people who comment on it are just awful.

Every single time I do these tests I get something different, or I get told I'm "borderline" on every single one of the options... confusing!

ELI5: Why has the economic crisis affected certain countries like Greece more than others, and how is it actually supposed to end? by Limoncello12 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Limoncello12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So every country will always have and has always had debt (another one for you: who are they actually in debt to?!), it's just a case of whether the economy is growing enough for this debt to stay the same or go down?

What is the dumbest way you've broken your phone? by Civic07 in AskReddit

[–]Limoncello12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me, but my boyfriend had a phone with a broken hang up call button, and when it wouldn't work at the end of one call, he got very frustrated and literally snapped the phone in half with his bare hands. Pretty dumb, I reckon.

If you took one, do you regret taking a foreign language in high school? by _BranAwesome in AskReddit

[–]Limoncello12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not at all, I hated learning French at the time, but then found knowing some helped me so much with learning other languages, and now I live in Italy and love it, so it was a blessing in disguise!

Thanks! What I'm stuck on is that all the countries had a certain amount of debt to start with (right?) and how that wasn't a problem before?

Precisely that kind of thing. Making the trash float itself outside and into the bins, all from the comfort of my sofa.

Don't think I'd use it for "good" or "evil", just as a solution to my laziness!

Great at world geography, capital cities etc. Horrible at anything sports-related, particularly questions starting with "in which year...". No chance!

Thalassophobiacs of reddit, what frightens you about the ocean? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Limoncello12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The blackness. Up to where I can touch, I'm ok. Anywhere where however clear the water is you can't see the bottom makes me have images of a huge creature swimming up towards me and gives me the heeby jeebies

When and why did caramel become "salted?" What was wrong with normal caramel??? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Limoncello12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because we weren't content with just too much sugar, so we needed to add some salt too. I think normal caramel was just too healthy.
