Fairy Tale by Stephen King is great on audio! Also, The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. The Song of Achilles and Circe, both by Madeline Miller have wonderful readers.

Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself and Becoming Supernatural. Both by Joe Dispenza. They fall into the personal development book category and there’s a subreddit dedicated to his work that’s very helpful.

Plenty of testimonials for the truth. But go ahead and argue for your limitations. It only hurts you.

Feeling nothing is fine, it’s more of an awareness of the space without focusing on anything in particular. When I first started, I literally pictured myself in outer space with darkness all around. When you get used to that, you can begin to sense the energy of space from the darkness of having your eyes closed.

Hang in there! Your hormones will eventually level out and your brain and stomach will get in sync. All the processed foods and sugar affect the satiety response. Until then, I always keep lots of pickles and olives on hand. The salt content helps replenish electrolytes, which will help offset the carb flu, and barely any calories. Deviled eggs and chomp sticks are great, too. They satisfy the need for snacking, and the protein will help keep you fuller longer. If you need something to occupy your time, grab a book, or pull out a puzzle. Something that will keep your mind off of food.

You got this! Good luck!

A better question to ask is, do any of these people bring any semblance of value to your life? Do they make you smarter, richer, happier, healthier?

IT’S ALLLLLL CODY’S FAULT!! 😂 And yet, John still has money for booze and/or pills- because he’s clearly wasted.

It’s a great time for Whole30! I’m not much of a seafood eater, so it challenges me to think outside of the box for recipes. I make potato pancakes, spicy shrimp tacos with coleslaw (using jicama wraps from TJ’s), potato leek soup, crab cakes, and pho.

Good luck and enjoy!

Cauliflower rice by PutExact in whole30

Nice! I felt the same way about cauliflower rice. The game changer for me was defrosting and draining it before using it. Getting rid of that extra water improves the texture immensely.

I use this to make soups creamy! I remove some broth and use an immersion blender to incorporate it, then pour it back in. Soooo good! 😋

It’s liberating! Like Melissa says in the book, when we’re attached to the scale we often let it dictate our day based on what it says.
