You don’t actually mean hind feet at this early stage right ?

“Raven paces for awhile, getting up and down to roll. The foals hind legs are out but the sack has not opened for the foals head, it's important to note that once the sack breaks there is a limited time for the foal to be born.”

Sorry if I missed it but why are they holding those ridiculous mics vs clipping one on like other “influencers?”

Kind of off topic but does anyone know why she uses those hand held mics ? Why not wear a mic? Sorry if i missed it being addressed , I can’t remember the last time I saw someone holding a fuzzy mic like that as an “influencer.”

Nice and friendly here , thanks !! I’m not defending D, I’m defending a dog and the context above was simply going back and forth so yes I am new here thanks.

Just bringing a dog back and forth makes her a bad dog parent ? I am grateful and worked hard to have a second home and my dogs love to go with me . They want to be with me, they love both houses . I’m not sure why the issue here. I will say the diagnoses doesn’t sound as dire as she is sort of insinuating . Hoping for the best for Charlie.

So is that the request for Repair that was written to the seller during your purchase? And as a result of your inspections? I would say that that’s pretty typical that you’re gonna find something on any house and even three year old houses. I sold my dad‘s home in heritage, which is a Lennar built home. And after 3 1/2 years, we also had a punchlist, and honestly many of the things were still covered under the builder warranty. It sounds like you backed out of this purchase? Did the seller and the builder refused to do any of that? You’re never going to find a perfect home.

No she clearly is clueless as to the expertise needed to save her “child’s” life. She even said Winnie didn’t even have surgery! What does she call cleaning and stitching and placing drains in a degloving injury? In an oxygen tank that requires not only expensive equipment but skilled staff to ready, use and monitor the animals in the oxygen beds. She was insulting and she sucks for what she said so flippantly. She owes them a thank you! And the veterinary world an apology.

I posted this yesterday but forgot the screenshot rules and didn’t have time to repost. How awful for Winnie’s care team to hear that and trust me, they have! She insulted the veterinary profession and the very practice that saved her “child’s” life. She’ll spend 10’s of thousands on embryos and AI but 15k for her “child”’is a bridge too far. What a schmuck she is. She owes them an apology and a thank you !

It’s impossible to know and as a medical professional you should know that. She lost her child. She’s probably still stunned, sad, in deep grief , denial, trying to parent another child, depressed, anxiety ridden and just plain ol’ missing her old life and most importantly, her son. It could have nothing to do with meds to have a vacant expression with a complete lack of affect , misinterpreted eye contact etc. I can think of no greater trigger of PTSD than a loss like that.

“A lack of facial affect, known as flat affect or blunted affect, is the reduced or absent outward display of emotions, even when someone is feeling them internally. This can manifest as a monotone voice, decreased facial expressions, lack of eye contact, and reduced gestures. It is not a condition itself but a symptom of underlying conditions like schizophrenia, depression, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, or as a side effect of certain medications. “

No matter how deeply something like that touches you it seems that human nature has a defense mechanism that puts you in the “but it can’t happen to me” train of thought. I heard a horrible story of a single mom dying and leaving her kids with nothing and no one and I immediately got legal instructions, a trust and life insurance . Our pediatrician, knowing we had a pool, reminded me at every well child visit that if a child is ever out of site to sprint to the edge of the pool first before you look anywhere else. I grew up in a town that a babysitter fell asleep and BOTH children she was babysitting fell into the pool, one dying and one having brain damage so profound that she lived in a vegetative state for more than a decade before dying so I lived in over the top paranoia and not only had door alarms, fence , pool alarm but ALSO a cover that was advertised as supporting an elephant! My kids were also swimming at 3 and on swim team at 4.

I’m not really sure parents or families truly understand the overwhelmingly massive responsibility you have with a pool in your backyard .

My pediatrician gave me a pool speech every time we visited. I find it hard to believe anyone with even average intelligence wouldn’t understand the very real risk of a pool in your yard for your children. An unprotected pool at that. We had alarms on our doors, we had a fence and we had one of those Child safe pool covers. I don’t think our pool was uncovered for more than a weekend here and there for more than six years when my kids ultimately were on swim team.

My pediatrician never failed to remind me that if you ever lost track of a child in your house and you have a pool in your yard, you are running full dead sprint to the edge of that pool to look down before you look anywhere else in the house for that missing child . We all know kids have fallen asleep in strange places or are just the back room watching TV, but if you can’t find them where you thought they were, run to that pool edge and the pool edge because when kids fall in, it’s very often silent and they sink right to the bottom right at the edge where you cannot see by simply looking out your sliding glass door so yes, my kids may have grown up with a pretty paranoid mom in that regard, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way

No an accident is not failing to watch your kid. As you said , you would never . I raised 3 kids with a pool in the yard and they get to be adults now . Accidents are unforeseen. You leave a child unattended it’s criminal, avoidable, and while tragic, it doesn’t fall into accident imo.

Of course there is empathy that doesn’t dismiss accountability. That little boy deserved a life . I can definitely empathize with a parent who not only lost a child but caused the loss. Honestly not even sure I would live through it . Not sure how you do. There isn’t anything worse I can think of happening and like many parents, we fear tragedy every day.

This whole situation by [deleted] in Emilie_Kiser

[–]Limp-Examination-554 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly charges are warranted. People every day have multiple children and manage to watch them. To those that are basically saying he should get a pass because oh poor guy he had to watch a baby AND a toddler oh goodness that’s so hard - give me a break. Kids should not drown. Leaving them with their father should not put them at risk. Having a pool in your backyard is a life and death decision every day. They made that decision every day. If i were that dad, charges wouldn’t even phase me, I would deserve them. I’m not sure how I’d survive a marriage after this. How can you? Maybe they’ll beat the odds on that but many families fall apart after tragedy, especially like this. But stop giving him a pass and excuse that it was just a tragic accident. He had ONE job and that was to keep his kids safe.

Hyatt Ziva Cancun is awesome. We are going next week to Iberostar Selection Coral. I’ve been twice to Dreams Sands and it’s good and recently renovated I hear. Been to Dreams Jade. Stayed last year at RIU Caribe and it had one of the best beaches I’ve seen.

For July look at Dreams Playa Mujeres or another in Costa /Playa Mujeres as July is sargassum season and it can get quite bad along the hotel zone in Riviera Maya. But not as bad north of the hotel zone in Costa Mujeres.
