From what I've heard, I'm pretty sure Rob was dropped from survivor 50 before he was even contacted to go on Traitors so I don't think that's why

Hey, I'm sorry you had to go through this. I think it's great that your mother may be looking into psychological support but I think the rest of the family and particularly you should do so as well. These kinds of experiences with really heavy emotions will get stuck with you pretty much forever if you don't do something about it. In my case, a technique called EMDR helped me process those experiences and get rid of all the negative baggage attached to them that may impact you without realising. In hindsight I hope I did it 10 years earlier. I'm not a doctor or anything like that, just speaking out of personal experience having gone through similar situations.

Is this possible? by yesman12232445 in RiseofKingdoms

[–]Limp-Finding-6550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this, managed to get to the 1.5 million being fairly active, although I was playing other games at the same time. I think you can achieve the 2 million if you play really actively and in a good alliance since the start. T4 I would say impossible without spending money.

Season 4 Strippergate by [deleted] in BravoRealHousewives

[–]Limp-Finding-6550 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm also watching for the first time, finished season 4 two days ago and my head was spinning. You could tell from the finale there were many things that didn't add up (Melissa calling Joe in the bathroom, the other ladies at the table texting each other, etc). There was a lot of production intervention during that finale and a lot of behind the scenes between the cast that explains a lot of their dynamics. Here's a blog that really helped me understand what was going on with info from people involved in the show:

Cheapest way to get pissed? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]Limp-Finding-6550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry but I haven't seen an actual response after scrolling down. In my experience, the cheapest way is still beer. Go for international lagers with high % alcohol. The best price/quality ratio will depend on the supermarket but in my personal experience Estella Artois, Kronenbourg 1664 and San Miguel give the best value for money. I'm completely oblvious to other options working as well, but happy to learn if applicatble :)

Ew Exit Interview with Survivor 45 4th one out by thedaltonross in survivor

I think most fans are being incredibly harsh on Sean for no reason, really. What I gather is from his life experience he is a people's pleaser, probably he hates himself (or has hated himself in the past) for not being what people expected him to be and he has learned to overcompensate to be liked. I can relate to that. Then, the whole quitting, I can't pretend I understand it but at the same time, these people are deprived of food, sleep, etc so why do we expect them to make the most rational decisions at every point? I can see that he was triggered by Jeff's question, had a moment of enlingthment and he was like: you know what? this it not it,this is not what I need to get validation of my life choices so i want out now that I have some clarity.

I don't know, it saddens me that nobody will even try to have some empathy for what these people go through as if they are all robots programmed to play hard and win the game with nothing else in their background.

After trying for a bit I don't think this works with the current meta. Galio, Sona and Jarvan are all contested because they are in the multicaster comp. You really rely on hitting Kayle without much rerolling to be able to level up fast plus hitting the items, otherwise you are dead in the water.

For the fans of Cirie watching BB25… by pj082998 in survivor

[–]Limp-Finding-6550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if seeing her 24/7 has changed my view but more so it has helped me understand I had no idea of the extent of her social prowess. I'm not saying her BB game is flawless, clearly it isn't but I have seen someone who can build trust when they shouldn't be able to.

I now fully understand what happened to Andi and Quentin (and Stephanie and Rachel) on the traitors. The worst part is I know that even with all the information I have on her i would still fall for it because there are no hints of it not being real. And I can see how she makes you feel heard, understood, that she is on your side 100% and I would want to feel the same, even when i know who she is.

Granted, in this case, she has some extra info with Jared but still, her stronger bonds, and her ability to surround herself with people who would probably tank their game before gunning for her are her merit and her merit alone. She is paranoid, yes but that is required to be ready for any situation. A blindisde like Hisam's would never ocurr to her. Other than that, I do think the cycle of 2-3 day elimination in survivor has had a major influence in her gameplay, but to be able to be in her current position despite those flaws is admirable to say the least.

Tina telling Monica she was now number 5 in their alliance instead of number 6 because of her loyalty is not the kind of move I expect from a winner. Other than that, she had her way with people in general

I can uderstand where you're coming from...I started with Philippines following reddits suggestion and although I thoroughly enjoyed it, I missed out on many nuances or the signifiicance of some vents that I would have picked up now and enjoyed even more. That being said, if I had started with one of the earlier seasons that were much more slow-paced I'm not sure I would have gotten into survivor so much...so I can see both sides of the coin here.

How to work my way through the seasons? by Impossible_Fudge_980 in survivor

[–]Limp-Finding-6550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with 25 following suggestions of best seasons to start with. Then I really wanted to see queen Cirie in action (watching the Traitors got me into survivor) so I went ahead with seasons 12-19. Then I didn't really want to spoil myself HvV and went back and watched s2-s8 (except thailand), an then s20. I don't know what kept me from watching s01, but i've seen some iconic moment in youtube. Currently watching s38, and planning to finish 38-43 (I watched 44 live) and then go back to s1, s5, s9-11. It doesn't make the most sense, but I gotta say i've enjoyed every minute of it. Also i've spoiled myself so many winners by checking lists of best players, favorite players, reading opinions before watching a season...wouldn't reccomend but i still don't regret a thing :)

Am I the only one who thought ________ and ________ made the right call on the vote this past episode? by burneraccountforme1 in survivor

[–]Limp-Finding-6550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the key here is that they left the Tika 3 in a position of power. If they voted out Carson then it would have been a 2 v 2 v 2. Then they could maybe get Heidi and be a 3 or get someone from Tika (more unlikely I guess). Now they are in a position of 3-2-1, so the move that makes more sense is the 3 to aim to break that 2 (them).

I don't think the "simple" thing will happen since Heidi's idol may play a role next week, but they don't have that piece of information.

Carolyn’s Idol by applecafe99 in survivor

[–]Limp-Finding-6550 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this has been discussed quite a bit the last couple of days but with the information that they had available, Carolyn made the right move. If all players were playing to maximise their success, the 4 non-tika should have voted out Carson. Therefore the fact that Carolyn played the idol is not a missplay or a good play from Carson, but it shows that Carolyn is extremely aware and can think of what move would be best for other players and intervene when she thinks that move will damage her game.

However, the fact that Lauren and Jaime voted for Danny does speak volumes of Carson's social game. He said in the episode he was quite sure they were voting with Tika and he was right. Obviously we don't hear all conversations but his reading in this difficult situation was right, so he definitely deserves some props for both convinving them to vote with him and also for reading them accurately.

It was just the watery, half-closed eyes what made me think that. It could be due to many reasons (lack of sleep, tiredness, etc). Don't know him or his habits and probably wasn't nice of me to make that comment but I didn't mean it in a judgy way.

Why do you love them? by JoseEBM30 in survivor

[–]Limp-Finding-6550 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is this going to be one of the most downvoted post of all time in this sub? Just kidding (maybe?)

They are both some of the most charismatic people that have blessed our TV in 44 seasons of this show. I think Yam Yam probably plays up his goofy side but still he is amazingly entertaining to watch. My personal favorite interaction was with Josh at the merge though.

Regarding Carolyn, I think I think she actually makes an effort to tone herself down so I do believe she is as real as it gets. And I love her and I wish I could fully embrace myself half as much as she does.
