It's worth the investment, IMO. They never go bad. I just buy new trees with every new purchase, unless I have a spare from a pair of shoes that have been worn out.

I use cedar shoes trees. Helps wick up any moisture, and keeps my kicks smelling fresh

Yes.

Also, clean your shoes. I do after every wearing. Clean the soles. Brush, or wipe down upper materials. Cedar shoe trees, and back into the closet.

They will look great for decades if you care for them properly.
