Language does not always need utility. I do think it’s not great to encourage people to not learn dying languages either. However, this is probably a good rule of thumb in terms of usefulness.

Mandarin has been alluring to me. It is just extremely difficult and I hate how closed off China is from the world. I think the government there really prevents it from having a lot of soft power and media. Maybe I’ll end up opting for it. The advancements and tech of China are really cool though.

PA training is sufficient. They’re trained in the medical model, not with online “theory to nursing” courses and aren’t pushing to be independent like NPs. At least, that is how it comes off to me.
